A stroll through a life’s journey on the fringe of the arts during the times Hong Kong was shedding its colonial coil with promises to molt into an open city under Chinese rule. Benny Chia, author of Life on the Fringe – an almost naked memoir, will share stories spanning over four decades about chancing on a rundown ice depot and turning it into an iconic arts space, launching three alternative arts festivals, bringing artists to places near and far, meeting remarkable people on the way, and stumbling into life’s many potholes. An unscripted and perchance inspiring conversation awaits.
Life On The Fringe - the Almost Naked Memoir is co-published by MCCM Creations and HKUPress.
