Participants will gain an understanding of code and its relevance to the world around us, learn how to work together collaboratively towards a common goal, establish an environment where everyone feels comfortable asking questions, gain experience in writing their own code, acquire new technical skills that they can take back into their community, and discover opportunities outside their own field.

Do you represent a church (religious org), after-school program, community centre, local family with resources or any other public or private organization that can host a STEM club at your facility? STEMGuyana will train club leaders, provide curriculum and facilitate all club meetings.

STEM CLUBS ARE MORE THAN ROBOTICS--STEMGuyana clubs prepare young people for the future. Our integrated curriculum will focus on Math, Science & all the new technologies for children from 7yrs of age.

On Monday, 11th October, 2021, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport will launch its Virtual Coding Training. This training will target young Guyanese from across the country and will continue for a period of six weeks using the following programmes: Scratch, Toon Boom and Word Press.

Coding training provides young Guyanese with an avenue to express their creativity combined with critical thinking, boost presentation and problem solving skills, and teaches persistence. Young Guyanese will also be part of an Online Coding Group.
