International Women’s Day is a celebration that highlights the achievement of strong women dominating economic, cultural, political, and social causes across the world.

IWD first started in 1908 after 15,000 women marched in New York City demanding voting rights, better wages, and shorter work hours.
IWD brings attention to the progress that women has made in the past and will continue to make in the near future.

Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. This year IWD will be celebrated on March 8th under the theme “Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow”. Together we can forge women's equality.
