The Greek Spot has been created by Alexandros Kyriakidis (DJ Odysseus) in Wooster, Ohio – USA in 2009. It has broadcast across the USA and UK, and it is currently in its 6th year of production.

– 2009-2011, USA: The beginning…
The show begun as a 2-hour, weekly talk, music, and interview radio show in the City of Wooster, in the State of Ohio of the USA. It broadcast in the radio station WCWS 90.

9 FM, during morning (prime time), afternoon and night slots. The show featured stand-up comedy, interviews with local and State officials, and of course a lot of music, including Greek music as well.

– 2011-2013, UK: Coming back to Europe…
The success of the show continued throughout the UK and Europe, through broadcasting in the radio stations of Surge 87.7 FM (Southampton) and Forge (Sheffield). The show settled permanently to an afternoon time slot, featuring music (also Greek music) and comedy/satire. Noteworthy was the production of the first cross-Atlantic radio show in Surge, with a live connection/uplink between the UK and the USA (WCWC 90.9 FM).

– 2017-2019, Greece: First time in Thessaloniki…
After a brief hietus, the Greek Spot came, for the first time, in Greece and Thessaloniki. Featuring English, Greece, comedy and a lot of music, at FM100.6 and online across the globe.
