It has been a year and many great challenges have come our way as we strive for perfection.
A year since colleagues have become friends together, united in their passion and determination to practice the same strong principles of respect, honesty and understanding as they support one another.
A year has passed since the beginning of the production of "The Journey to Peiraeus" and the ship's getting closer and closer to its destination, as production is about to come to an end.
It has been a year of great emotions, and Noumenon would like to thank the team for loving and supporting the vision and passion, for the quality of the work they've done, and for staying strong and united until the end.

Noumenon is proud to announce that has joined forces with Pan Entertainment to deliver a 25 minutes short film that traces the development of Piraeus from antiquity to the present.
We are therefore seeking motivated and creative 3D artists to join our team.
Specifically we are seeking:

Shading / Texture Artist responsible for creating PBR textures and materials for use in production, as well as generating final render output.
Requirements / Knowledge: 3ds MAX, Substance Painter, Redshift, be able to take feedback and direction
Responsibilities: Create PBR textures and materials for use in production, Generate final render output

Rigger / Animator responsible for creating rigs for biped characters and animals and deliver animations for production
Requirements / Knowledge: 3ds MAX or Maya, be able to take feedback and direction
Responsibilities: Rig and animate characters and animals, create believable crowd simulations

3D Generalist with knowledge of 3ds max able to create realistic and accurate scenes, build large scale environments procedurally and work with particle systems
Requirements / Knowledge: 3ds MAX, Forest Pack, Railclone, tyFlow, Phoenix FD, Redshift
Responsibilities: Build large scale environments under the guidance of an Art Director, populate big scenes with houses, props and foliage

VFX Artist able to create realistic destructions, explosions and large-scale fluids
Requirements / Knowledge: Houdini or 3ds MAX
Responsibilities: create realistic building destructions, fire effects and explosions, water effects and splashes, smoke and dust elements

Yet another walnut, but this time we are focusing on the shell, especially the inner part. A massive amount of 420 photos were taken per shell, to capture the details and lots of hours for the calculations to complete.
The result is more than satisfying...

Did you hear the news?

Testimonies from all over the world indicate that strange mushroom formations have appeared in forests.

The mushrooms appear to be harmless, but they are nothing like terrestrial mushrooms. In the early stages of their maturation, they look like our familiar Amanita Muscaria, but as they grow, they begin to glow in the dark and grow taller than their normal size.

In some places they have engulfed the forest and seem to be connected by some kind of cables, like arteries.

The Royal Nut

This time we bring you a high dense energy food, the walnut.
Lots of challenges with this one. We took extra care not to spoil the kernel and the outer shell while opening the nut.

This time we bring you a healthy and full of nutrients, photogrammetry acquired asset!

From a food stylist's point of view, it sucks big time, don't you agree Dimitris Arapostathis? Ugly cut and sloppy as hell.

But this one is from the vault.
I really needed to see if I was able to capture a reflective and wet subject successfully, or at least with as less errors as possible.
That's what we are showcasing here, the level of detail captured.
