It's Feb 13th, 1970.

A band releases its first album.

The first track begins with the sound of rain and a bell tolling in the distance. Then a peel of thunder and a wind squall.

Then the sound of a super distorted guitar, playing a Diminished 5th interval, the Devil's interval - banned by the Roman Catholic church in the 13thC.

Then, as if from beyond the grave a voice wails "what is this that stands before me?"

The band Black Sabbath, the album "Black Sabbath" the title track "Black Sabbath"

The guitar player was one Mr Tony Iommi.

The sound of that super distorted Diminished 5th interval was a Laney LA60BL amplifier!

Many people can say they are the best, many people can say they are the biggest, but only 1 person can say they were the first.

If we take this recording as being the first distilling down of teenage angst, into what we now call "Heavy Metal" then the sound recognised all over the globe as Heavy Metal, is the sound of a Laney amp.

I never post about personal matter

But now I need some help, financial unfortunately

As you know I have a problem with my spine the last years

Things are getting a bit more serious slowly but surely

So, I need to do a surgery in a private hospital, as public hospital doesn't propose this kind of treatment, the cost is pretty high that's why I dare to ask for your support

I am ok, I can work, move ... But the surgery needs to happen before I can't anymore, that's why I ask my friends to help me, by organizing fundraising lives, I will also open a campaign on specialized websites in case somebody wants to make a direct financial donnation
