Στις 20 Μαρτίου 2022 ένα βραχυκύκλωμα κατακαίει το οικογενειακό σπίτι της Λίζης Καλλιγά στις Σπέτσες. Η ίδια μόλις που προλαβαίνει να πεταχτεί έξω: να διασωθεί∙ η αντίδρασή της ευτυχώς υπήρξε ακαριαία: η ζωή της σώθηκε∙ από το σπίτι δεν απέμειναν παρά μόνο τα ντουβάρια∙ ανάμεσα σ’ όλα τα υπάρχοντα, ένας ικανός αριθμός έργων της έγινε στάχτη.

Αυτό είναι το συμβάν.

Κατόπιν, η Λίζη Καλλιγά θα βρεθεί σ’ ένα κέντρο ψυχολογικής υποστήριξης στον Μαραθώνα. Στο δωμάτιό της, αντικρίζει επί τρεις μήνες τον άσπρο τοίχο απέναντι από το κρεβάτι της. Ο άσπρος τοίχος, μέρα με την ημέρα, αρχίζει να γράφεται∙ να γεμίζει από το βλέμμα της και τη συγκέντρωσή της σ’ αυτόν: σημεία και ίχνη κάνουν την εμφάνισή τους. Τότε αρχίζει να τον φωτογραφίζει και να τον βιντεοσκοπεί με το κινητό της μετά μανίας. Η φωτογράφιση και η βιντεοσκόπηση αυτού που έχει συνεχώς απέναντί της ως θέα είναι η ενστικτώδης αντίδρασή της ενάντια στη σκοτεινή παρόρμηση του θανάτου, της νεύρωσης και της διαταραχής: σαν προσευχή ή διαλογισμός, αυτή η ανίατη επανάληψη της δράσης, η καταβύθιση στον εαυτό, διαπερνώντας τον τοίχο, παίρνει τη θέση μεγίστης ιαματικής λειτουργίας, σταδίου πένθους και θεραπείας, αποκαλυπτικής πράξης, συνειδητοποίησης και αποδοχής ενός συνεχούς που μετεγγράφεται πάντα στο τώρα οδηγώντας στην απελευθέρωση.

"Every Next Day" Diary 2023

Ένα ημερολόγιο που ακολουθεί τη μέθοδο της φθοράς του αντιγράφου όπως στο κίνημα Xerox Art της δεκαετίας του 1960.
Ξεκινώντας με μια κενή σελίδα ως πρώτη ημέρα, στη συνέχεια δημιουργούμε ένα αντίγραφο του αντιγράφου μέχρι να φτάσουμε στην ημέρα τριακόσια εξήντα πέντε. Κάθε επόμενη σελίδα, κρατάει τα ίχνη των προηγούμενων και παραμορφώνεται αργά με τυχαίες και άγνωστες προσθήκες, καθώς αποτυπώνει το πέρασμα του χρόνου.

A diary that follows the method of degeneration copy from the Xerox Art movement in the 1960s.
Starting with a blank page as day one and then making a copy of the copy until we reach day three hundred and sixty-five. Every next page, carries the traces of the previous ones, and slowly deforms with random and unknown additions, in an attempt to capture the passage of time.

The works, tempera on paper, by Ioanna Ralli are showing now at the Zoumboulakis Galleries, (20, Kolonaki sq.) until June 5, 2021.
The large scale squares and parallelograms of colourful, repeated patterns began as a background for her photographs and they gradually broke away as independent works. They bring in mind the “Mandalas”, works which express harmony and entirety in various spiritual traditions.

Αν ζούσε, η ηθοποιός Νέλλη Αγγελίδου (1923-2014) θα είχε σήμερα τα γενέθλιά της. Το 2017, με τη φροντίδα του γιου της Γιάννου, κυκλοφόρησε από τις εκδόσεις Cube Art Editions ένας συλλογικός τόμος αφιερωμένος στο έργο της. Το 2018 ο Γιάννος Αγγελίδης δώρισε το αρχείο της μητέρας του στο ΕΛΙΑ/ΜΙΕΤ.

Η Αμφίσβαινα, Blanus strauchi (Bedriaga, 1884) αποτελεί ένα από τα τρία είδη αμφισβαίνιου που συναντώνται στην Ευρώπη και το μοναδικό που απαντάται στην Ελλάδα. Όπως όλα τα αμφισβαίνια, ζει μέσα στο χώμα και διατηρεί χαρακτηριστικά τόσο φιδιού όσο και σαύρας. Δεν διαθέτει άκρα και έχει ατροφικά μάτια, καλυμμένα με δέρμα. Σύμφωνα με την Ελληνική μυθολογία, η Αμφίσβαινα (αμφί+βαίνω) ήταν μυθολογικό ερπετό με δύο κεφαλές στα άκρα του.
