It is with regret that we must inform you of a recent development regarding Al-Falaah FM's broadcast license. After tons of calls and messages from our esteemed and concerned listeners, we acknowledge that the Ministry of Information has issued a formal notice revoking our license.

In efforts to amicably address the matter, the management of Al-Falaah FM would like to reassure the public that we are dedicated to resolving this issue expediently.

Thus, we politely urge the public to exercise calm while we swiftly address the issue.

The Fatwa and Moon-Sighting Committee of the Gambia Supreme Islamic Council - المجلس الإسلامي الأعلى في غامبيا hereby urging all Muslims to cooperate in the sighting of the Crescent/Moon of the Month of SAWWAL 1445H and to relay any information in this regard to members of the Committee and GSIC's Regional Representatives via the contact numbers listed on the pictures attached.

The Sighting of the Crescent/Moon will take place on the evening of Monday 08th April 2024 corresponding to the 29th Ramadan 1445H.

The Gambia Supreme Islamic Council (GSIC) invites all media outlets to the announcement of Eid al-Fitr (Koriteh) and the beginning of Shawwal 1445 H/2024. The announcement will be made on Monday, April 8th, 2024 at 8:15 PM GMT at the GSIC Administrative Premises in Kanifing.
