Happy Independence Day to The Gambia!
May Allah continue blessing us, and may we reflect on the journey toward true independence.

While Independence Day serves as a great and honorable day for many nations, it is rather unfortunate to witness some individuals attempting to deny its significance.

It's essential not to discredit the contributions of great heroes like Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara, Edward Francis Small, and many others, who have made immense sacrifices for our country.

Denying the importance of this day would be profoundly unfair to their legacies. While expressing dissatisfaction with the government’s ability to rule or provide transparency is permissible in our democratic society, but it shouldn't diminish the significance of this day.

Despite the myriad issues our country faces, let's not allow them to overshadow the importance of celebrating our Independence Day. Let's honor the sacrifices made and aspire to address our challenges collectively.
