Essa Dampha responds to Nigerian Prophet: Urges him to confine himself to his domain

By: Modou Touray

Honorable Essa Dampha, vibrant presidential aide on media for President Barrow, rubbishes the predictions made by Nigerian Prophet ,Pramite Elijah Ayodele that President Adama Barrow will be defeated in the 2026 presidential election.

In a media interview, Mr. Dampha said prophet’s statement exposed the ignorance of the fake Gambian’s development trajectory.

“As a man of God, he should not align himself with such assertions. He should scan the political environment to understand how parties are organized. Even if opposition parties formed a coalition, they could never unseat Barrow.
Mr Dampha noted that the Gambia’s economy has been booming with speed since the advent of the new dispensation.

” Inflation is under control, salaries have been increased, and private sector engagement is improving; these are all practical examples that the economy of the Gambia is striving.”

It could be recalled that A self-proclaimed prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church in Nigeria, has predicted that opposition parties in The Gambia will form a coalition to unseat President Adama Barrow in the 2026 elections.

Mr Dampha emphasized that the fake prophet had no evidence to back his claims but was dreaming.

” The first blueprint was successful and the second one is also being implemented”

He further stressed that the second blueprint focuses on recovery in the wake of the COVID pandemic and other factors that weakened our economy, such as the effect of the Russia-Ukraine War.

” The new Blueprint will fill the loopholes so that we can achieve our economic projections”

Mr Dampha said everything happened as destined by God the almighty which is beyond human perception.

He prayed for president Barrow’s good health and long life while urging people to assist him to achieve his aspiration cor the Gambia.

"I did this for years! Not ashamed of it, but I've learned resilience, humility, and a taste of hard work work through it. It doesn't define who I am, I define the act to be a phenomenal opportunity to see the world through many lenses! They say he who feels it knows it better! We will emerge from the ruins of shanty communities and become the "kings" in palaces! That's what "barako" means!"

Essa Dampha says there is no credible opposition to match Barrow as he delves into his 2024 achievements.

By: Modou Touray

Mr Essa Dampha, the outspoken aide on media for President Adama Barrow, asserted that the President has the prospects of winning the 2026 election with a landslide.
He justified his argument on the basis that the President has achieved monumental gains in terms of delivery adequately responding to the flights of the Gambian People.
" Electricity is accessible to remote communities, health Centres, and Posts, and ambulances were distributed across the length and breadth of the country. He wants to decentralize development. There is a road network extension in the country; everybody can attest to that. Farmers were given Fertiliser and equipment. I will him 85 % in terms of development rating for 2024.

Mr. Dampha further elaborated on the successful hosting of the OIC Summit in the Gambia as well as the availing of a conclusive environment for private businesses and development initiatives to flourish.

" Hamidou Jah is producing Gambian-grown rice thanks to the conclusive environment."

Mr. Dampha also described President Barrow as a problem solver, not a firefighter er, emphasizing that his principle is to investigate the genesis of the problem and find a duration solution to it.

" his development trajectory is more like a problem solver, not a firefighter. When there is a problem, he reacts quickly and finds out the root course of that problem. He worked on that and found a solution. He is a proactive leader."

Reacting to the recent allegations of vote rigging by the NPP, Mr Dampha said the government has distanced itself from such irresponsible and baseless allegations. He commended the charismatic Information Minister Dr Ismailia Ceesay, who applauded him for changing the government information flow dynamics.

" The government will not take the allegations lightly, it's a threat to national security "

He commended President Adama Barrow for organising the maiden presidential media dinner citing that the relation between the media and government should be cordial. He also pointed out that for the first time, the government enacted the Access to Information law to make journalists' work easy.
