The label was founded with the vision of giving artists the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the recording experience, such as choosing repertoire, editing and product design. Artists on HeartCold Records include established performers like the Grand kroo, Medical, Moja as well as young, rising stars. The label is dedicated to producing interesting, imaginative releases to satisfy the
public’s hunger for more than just the famous great works in Hip-Hop and World music. The label also offers to listeners coherent artistic projects that makes each release an eminently collectable "objet d’art" that will give its owner hours of pleasure – something to be listened to over and over again. It has grown to establish a reputation for controversial recordings with an emphasis on contemporary sounds. From the beginning, it was not this label’s aim to compete with the other labels, but to fill the niches that other labels kept neglecting and this philosophy has not changed over the years. HeartCold Records stands for high-quality productions,good recording and a trusting relationship between artist, staff and producer. The label is currently based at its founder home in Bakau.
