Ghanaian(Takoradi) Kofi Kinata's song *Awurade Begye Steer*(Lord, Come Take Control of the Steering Wheel) may sound funny, worldly, unchristian yet it calls for deeper reflection. He is drunk and if he tries to drive home himself he'd crash to death.
- Acceptance of the helpless situation he finds himself in and the need for support.
- He doesn't call on his colleagues he might have gone out drinking with, his parents, landlord, etc. But he acknowledges God as far superior and more reliable.
- He knows how to drive but in this (drunken) situation, he doesn't want to trust in his own skills/experience/power.
- He sees that the situation he finds himself in is not normal/unusual, it is not something that should happen to him.
- It is not something he should be happy with.
- This surely is something that should take a cue from the Bible(Psalm 34:6) *This poor man cried and the Lord helped him*
Let us join him and ask God to take from our hands the cup of bitterness, poverty, fornication, unemployment, hatred, division, evil, infidelity, crime, corruption, selfishness, sicknesses, and any other unwarranted situation, according to His assurances in *Isaiah 51:22&23*. Jah, help us.💫💫💫💫💫
