Only members of the Alphabet Mafia will have a problem with this...Ghana doesn't have to follow the West's standard for family values. No other nation should bully Ghana into following their status quo.

Ghana’s President John Mahama says he will sign a new anti-LGBTQ+ law if Parliament approves it, according to the rights group Rightify Ghana. The Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, first passed in 2024 but halted by legal challenges, has now been reintroduced. If approved, identifying as LGBTQ+ could carry up to 3 years in prison, while promoting LGBTQ+ rights or funding related groups could lead to up to 10 years. The bill would also ban same-sex marriage, attending same-sex weddings, and gender-affirming care. Ghana already criminalizes same-sex sexual activity under colonial-era laws, but this bill would expand penalties significantly. Mahama says he supports it, stressing that his government upholds “traditional family values.”
