National Petroleum Authority sensitizers residents of Volta Region need to switch to liquefied petroleum gas.

The National Petroleum Authority (NPA), in a week long campaign has sensitized residents Of the Volta Region on the need to use liquefied petroleum gas.The campaign was done in collaboration with the Oil Sustainability Program (OSP) under The Kingdom of Saudi Aratbia, the Ministry of Energy and Dig craft Advertising.
As part of the programme, the NPA held community engagements, town hall meetings and Community durbars across the region.The participants included traditional authorities, municipal and district chief executives,Heads of markets and consumers of LPG.
Speaking during one of the durbars at Kpando, head of consumers services at the NPA Mrs.Eunice Budu Nyarko, indicated the campaign alms at sensitizing the public on dangers Associated with Traditional fuel use and the benefits of LPG.

She said as part of safety measures, users of LPG should regularly inspect their hoses for Cracks, rubbers seals and avoid using mobile phones around LPG fire.She also called on them to engage the services of professionals for repair works on their Cylinders and burners.

The national petroleum authority, NPA has admonished the general public to adhere to the Safety precautions associated with the use of liquefied petroleum gas.
This came to light when the authority engaged residents of the Volta Region on benefits ofInvolved in the use of liquefied petroleum gas.
Engaging market women and business people in the Hohoe Central Market last Friday,Junior Supervisor of Gas at the NPA, Mr. Johnson Gbagbo, called on the public not to Overlook safety precautions associated with LPG use. He said, LPG, apart from being a source of clean energy also prevents deforestation and Air pollution.CUE. 1 EWE/ENGLISH
