UHAS Extends Second Semester by One Week

The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) has announced a one-week extension of the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year.

According to the Public Affairs Director, Mad. Maria B. Gwira, the revised academic calendar will now see the semester end on July 25, 2024; instead of the initially scheduled July 18, 2024.

Consequently, the End-of-Second Semester Examinations will start on July 12, 2024 and end on July 25, 2024.

The university has assured students that the extension will not affect the start of the next academic year.

Students and faculty members have been advised to take note of the revised calendar and plan accordingly.

UHAS remains committed to providing a conducive learning environment and supporting the academic success of its students.

UHAS Receives Boost in Security with Donation of Street Lights

In a bid to address security concerns on the UHAS-Asogli Hostel road, the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) has donated two street lights to the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) Students' Representative Council (SRC).

The donation, made through TEIN-UHAS, comes in response to a call from the UHAS SRC to tackle security challenges in the area.

Present at the handover ceremony were the National Deputy TEIN Coordinator, Volta Regional TEIN Coordinator and his deputy, alongside the TEIN-UHAS President and some SRC executives.

This donation is expected to enhance security measures and provide a safer environment for students and staff members using the UHAS-Asogli Hostel road.

TEIN's contribution is seen as a welcome gesture, and the university community is grateful for the support in addressing this critical issue.
