The Malawi government has asked former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson to become the country's cannabis brand ambassador. Tyson has been selling cannabis products since 2016 through his Tyson Holistic label. In a letter to Tyson from Agriculture Minister Lobin Lowe, Lowe noted that the legalization of cannabis in Malawi in 2020 has created opportunities for both medicinal and industrial products and has also offered the Southern African country a change to generate more foreign exchange. What do you make of Tyson possibly becoming a cannabis ambassador for Malawi?

Guinea 🇬🇳
Soldiers who died during the coup in Guinea last Sunday.

These are the young men who lost their lives last Sunday in Guinea in an attempt to protect President Alpha Conde. The young soldiers risked more than they bargained for. Sometimes the question asked is whether they were protecting the interest of one man or the nation? What a waste of life!

How Late President John Magufuli Made Tanzania A Middle Income Country.🇹🇿 He rejected a $10 billion loan from China

He didn't go on state trips outside of the African Continent

He reduced the cabinet's size from 30 to 19

He banned Government officials from foreign trips & abolished their tax exemptions.

Magufuli accused UK company, Acacia Mining of illegal mining and ordered them to pay $193 billion for undervaluing Tanzania's gold exports.

Over 250 containers of theirs were seized at Dar es Salaam port.

They paid $300 million and gave Tanzania 16% ownership in 3 mines.

Magufuli introduced free education in government schools in 2016. He acquired 6 Air Tanzania planes, expanded Terminal III of Julius Nyerere International Airport.

He built Tanzania Standard Gauge Railway, Mfugale Flyover, Julius Nyerere Hydropower Station, Ubungo Interchange.

Dr. Magufuli built Selander Bridge, Kigongo-Busisi Bridge, Huduma Bora Za afya, Vituo Bora Za Afya, expanded Port of Dar es Salaam, Dodoma Bus Terminal, an LNG plant, a water project, a wind farm project, Uhuru Hospital project, a gold refinery plant, and Magufuli Bus Terminal.

Late President Dr. John Magufuli excelled in infrastructure and financial affairs. He faced numerous accusations of human rights abuses and was accused of repressing the opposition. He also banned explicit images or videos online.

He wasn't a saint, but was a true son of the African Continent.

THE AFRICA'S LIBERATION VOODOO
MOVEMENT!

Meet the Voodoo man who allegedly accompanied the soldiers that arrested president Alpha Conde in Guinea.

These are traditional hunters of the mandingo tribe mostly found in Guinea, Mali and Bukinafaso. They are called DONSO.

The coup leader Mamadou Doumbouya was a "caporal" in the French "legion d'honneur". He returned to Guinea in 2018 and Condé appointed/promoted him as Major.

In 2019 for his third term, he needed a loyal commander of the special forces to support his move: he promoted the guy to colonel and did a reshuffle to put him in charge of a batalion. He created the
"monster" who has toppled him today.

This is what corruption, the politicization of the Army can result to.

Why are coups becoming rampant again in Africa?

So African leaders, organizations and security personnel within the African continent haven't seen several videos circulating on social media, of black men and women being tortured, and some are being killed? If it were to be a white citizen going through this, their leaders would have done everything possible to get these men behind bars. Why are African leaders quiet over things like this and several video has been circulating for so long and nothing has been done about it

Very sad, in Africa, the leaders doesn't care about the lives of the citizens !

Mali to swear in interim president today after coup

Mali’s new president will be sworn into office on Friday, five weeks after the overthrow of Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta.

Bah Ndaw, a former defence minister, was picked by the coup leader, Colonel Assimi Goita, to head a transitional government until elections are held.

Col Goita will be his vice-president.

The new government is expected to be in office for a transition period of 18 months that will lead to an election.

The appointment of a civilian president was a condition for the West African regional group, Ecowas, to lift the sanctions it imposed after the coup.

Stocks of goods are running low in the capital, Bamako, where businesses are hoping for an announcement from Ecowas after the inauguration.

The Malian National Committee for the Salvation of the People(NCSP) awaits a response from the Economic Community of West African States leaders (ECOWAS) after junta head, Colonel Assimi Goita, made a public appeal on Tuesday for sanctions to be lifted — following the appointment of the transitional president, Bah N’daou, as per one of the organisation’s imposed conditions.

Former Nigerian Head of State, Goodluck Jonathan, was in Bamako Wednesday as an ECOWAS special envoy. Yet another visit to the West African city, as he has been assisting Mali over the last few months in negotiations amidst the political crisis.

The political mediator shared the current state of affairs as far as a response from the organisation, "Lifting the sanctions is not a problem. ECOWAS don't want any sanctions in any part of the community. It's quite unfortunate that that has to be done. So ECOWAS is eager to make that pronouncement. The chair of the community, the President of Ghana, is the person that will make that pronouncement. And I believe that on Friday, after the inauguration, probably, he will make that pronouncement."

The colonel also sought to make good on the NCSP’s post-coup promise to uphold all international agreements (including anti-jihadists efforts in the region) and even called on the support of the Malian people during the 60-year independence day celebration ceremony as a public show of good faith.

Malian citizens, amidst all the unrest over the last few months, are the ones most affected by both the political crisis and economic sanctions.
