According to CNN Business New York, Steve Easterbrook has been fired as McDonald’s CEO and president after the board determined that he violated company policy. He has been replaced by Kempczinski.

Easterbrook, who became CEO in 2015, “demonstrated poor judgment involving a recent consensual relationship with an employee,” McDonald’s said in a statement.
Easterbrook reportedly wrote, “This (relationship) was a mistake. Given the values of the company, I agree with the board that it is time for me to move on. Beyond this, I hope you can respect my desire to maintain my privacy.”
Kempczinski, who joined McDonald’s in 2015 and was most recently president of McDonald’s USA, said in a statement that he is “energized by this challenge” and looks forward “to guiding McDonald’s continued success.” According to TMZ, Easterbrook is divorced. He is a father and visiting fellow at the University of Oxford’s Said Business School.
Easterbrook first worked for McDonald’s in 1993 as a manager in London. In 2011 he left to become CEO of PizzaExpress and then CEO of Wagamama, two British casual dining chains, before returning to McDonald’s in 2013.
On 1 March 2015, after being chief brand officer of McDonald’s and its former head in the UK and northern Europe, he became the CEO of the company, succeeding Don Thompson, who stepped down on 28 January 2015. For 2016, Easterbrook’s total compensation almost doubled to $15.4 million

Efia Odo has reacted to claims by her ex-boyfriend Kweku Reveloe that, he spent $12,000 on her just to go see her mother in the United States during the time they were dating.

Efia Odo’s relationship with Reveloe had ended 2 months ago but confirmed their breakup officially 2 days ago, although bloggers had reported it when she started deleting his pictures from her Instagram account.

In several tweets, she made after announcing the break-up, she blamed her ex-boyfriend for not having the confidence to tell her it’s over but just walked out of her life.

In one of such tweets, Efia Odo revealed that Kweku Reveloe gave her lots of assurance as he promised her a lot of things, and even went ahead to visit her mother in the States.

To some extent they have a point especially when copyright infringement is the topic for discussion. They even asked that Korede Bello and Runtown let their lawyers take up the matter. Korede Bello has rather shown love to the lady .

The lady in question released that mashup several months ago but nobody criticized her until a top artiste as a matter of fact, the queen of rap, Nicki Minaj decided to play it, followed the lady on Instagram and even commented on her post about how she played the song over a 100 times during her birthday vacation. ‘The shade room’, one of the top media outlets has also followed Nana Fofiee. It’s the lady’s mashup Nicki played, not that of Korede Bello or Runtown.

Now Two lessons to be learnt
-The average Nigerian will fight for his/her own. They’ll always want the good things to come their way. It’ll surprise you that those nagging ain’t even Korede Bello or Runtown fans, but once they’re one of theirs, they’ll fight tooth and nail for them. As a matter of fact, their constant bickering will even cause Nicki Minaj to check out the original versions. To me that’s a good one.

-The second lesson is, people never question your actions until you’re successful or recognized. That mashup has been there for sometime now and the folks complaining might have even praised her several months ago. She never claimed that she sang the original version of the songs, she clearly stated that it was a mashup. Now what’s the fuss about? This is the time Ghanaians should step in and defend one of their own. Sometimes being meek isn’t the solution, you need to roar too.

Rapper E.L has dispelled the existence of any feud between himself and rapper Sarkodie.

According to him, contrary to public perceptions, he is very cool with Sarkodie.

There have been speculations that all is not well between the two artistes, who worked together to produce one of Ghana’s biggest songs, ‘U Go Kill Me’, for some time now.

The rumours gained weight when E.L complained bitterly about his name being left out of a list of recommendations by Sarkodie to South African artiste Cassper Nyovest.

In April, Casper Nyovest made his maiden trip to Ghana to familiarise with the Ghanaian music industry.
During his visit, award-winning rapper Sarkodie, who was out of the country, tweeted a list of musicians, Cassper Nyovest should contact in his absence.

Wa Naa, Paramount Chief of Wa, gave Samini a ribald welcome this week at his palace on Tuesday, December 11, exactly 11 days to Samini’s 7th Album “Untamed” release.
It’s been 8 years since Samini visited home, Wa.

And for the past years, Samini’s fans and natives have longed for his homecoming and concert; but due to very tight schedules and ‘unfavorable’ calendars, Samini couldn’t make a return home until recently.

In the midst of a mammoth crowd that thronged the Wa Naa’s palace, Samini reaffirmed his connect with the indigenes and his dagaati roots.

Samini after paying a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief was enstooled as Pibilii Naa, a local parlance which connotes “King of The Little Rocks”. The name “Pibilii” was derived from one of the native villages in lieu with Samini’s clan lineage, and as well a Chief among the well-meaning and industrious youths of Wa, his hometown. Pibilii is a small town in Mangu, where Samini’s Father comes from. Mangu is a town in Wa.

Waa Naa however made a plea to Samini to use his platform and network to support upcoming music talents from Wa and Upper West Region so as thy could reach mainstream and global standards (as him). The Paramount Chief pledged to give Samini a land for a studio project that would facilitate the churning of musicians from Wa and its environs.

Samini in a grandeur was clothed in a new Royal 3-piece traditional smock, known as “fugu” with matchup royal shoes made from scarce leather. He was blessed by the Chief and made to ride on a horse from the Paramount Chief’s palace.

Ahead of his 7th studio album launch, titled “Untamed”, Samini shot a music video for the lead single (an intro) in the Chief’s Palace, to accentuate his belongingness and direct connect with his roots.

Also set for December 22 is his annual festival, Saminifest. Aside Saminifest, the international music icon, Samini, also announced a homecoming music festival in Wa henceforth, annually, to keep the connect with his fellow Wa indigenes. Samini is now managed by Africa 1 Media, based in Accra, Ghana’s capital city.

According to him, he has been smoking for 20 years now and believes that the time is right for him to take a break.

The skipper of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan has shocked the Accra Family Court hearing the case of marriage annulment between him and Gifty Gyan that he is walking around a “broke man” and has not been paid for some months now, MyNewsGh.com has filed.

The court had ordered Asamoah Gyan to ensure he paid for the air ticket of his wife and all their three children traveling from the UK to Ghana for a DNA test to be conducted.

The court demanded that the children must be protected from the stigma of the ongoing court process for which reason it was suggested Asamoah Gyan booked a business or 1st class ticket for them and their mother as well as prepare an accommodation for them in Accra.

Asamoah Gyan, however, told the court he is broke and cannot afford a business or 1st class ticket because he has not been paid for some months.
This is after he told the court in August that he can only afford Ghc3000 a month for the upkeep of the 3 children and the wife who are based in the UK.

Knutsford University Signs Maame Serwaa As Brand ambassador

Ghana’s Young Legend Clara Benson popularly known as Maame Serwaa has chalked another success in her movie career.

The award winning actress has inked a deal with Knutsford University College to serve as brand ambassador for their school.

The deal which took his fans by surprise will see the actress use her youth fanbase help push the goals of the school.

Knutsford University also gives Serwaa a 4-year degree scholarship and supporting of her projects.

Serwaa was presented with her admission letter at a ceremony held at the office of the Vice Chancellor of the University.

Many Ghanaians, on Monday, took to social media to express their shock and confusion after several photos emerged online, suggesting that Kumawood actress Nayas 1 and actor Apostle John Prah had married each other.
Though YEN.com.gh cannot confirm if the two have tied the knot in reality, their posturing in the photos mirrored those of married couples.
In one of the photos, Nayas, in a beautiful gown, was seated, while John Prah in his nice suit bent over her as they looked each other in the eye.
In another one, the pastor was captured firmly clinging on to Nayas’ back as they let out beautiful smiles.
Some Instagram users who have commented on the photos have said they are confused, as they do not know if the two have been married in real life of acting a scene in a movie.
For instance, Zionfelix plainly said he was confused as to whether the photos were real or just for a publicity stunt.
