New data on the impact of the pandemic on agribusinesses in Ghana suggested that it may take a little more time and support for businesses to recover from the impact of the pandemic.

GAWU has sent a distress signal to Ghana Cocoa Board(COCOBOD) to swiftly intervene to stop the large-scale destruction of farms by illegal miners or risk missing out on its ambitious target of producing 900,000 tonnes of cocoa beans for the 2020/21 crop season.

A former Director at the Animal Research Institute of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR-ARI), Dr Naminong Karbo, has observed that the country must endeavour to separate maize meant for human consumption from those meant for poultry feed.
