Happy Executive Birthday to the Pathfinder, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo, Founder of Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana and group chairman, Kantanka Group of companies.

A brief profile.

Apostle Dr. Ing Kwadwo Safo is a man of God and a philanthropist born on Monday, August 28th, 1948. He was born in Boom, near Kensere in the Ashanti region. He hails from Asomnya in the Bekwai Municipality, Ashanti. His innovative mindedness and exploration earned him an epitome of “the audacity of possibilities”

After his primary and secondary school education, he attended Ghana Technical Works in Kumasi. He proceeded to work as a welder at the Volta Aluminum Company (VALCO) for three years.
Apart from his Christian ministry, he is also a physicist, biologist, chemist, agriculturalist, and inventor.

In the year 1965, on 5th January he embarked on a holy pilgrimage from Kumasi to Accra with the vision of emancipating Africans through modern-day Technology.

In the quest to leave a legacy and a good footprint,
He began his church in 1969 as a prayer and transformed it on 3rd February 1971 in Accra, the capital of Ghana. He started the church with a single soul, in the person of Madam Faustina Dakoa. Apostle as a founder of Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana can boast of 132 branches here and abroad.

The Tech lense of Apostle.

In his quest to promote technology in Ghana and Africa as a whole, he manufactured his first automobile Kantanka saloon car in 1998 and launched a 4-wheel drive, ‘Kantanka Onantefo’ in 2006. Apostle is the founder of Ghana’s first car manufacturing company, “Kantanka Automobile Company”.

The apostle never falls off from his dream of making Africa the Beacon of modern-day technology. He worked excessively with his team to establish Kantanka Automobile company, whose headquarters can be located at Mpoten, the central part of Ghana. His company is known as one of the best automobile manufacturing companies, well-tooled with different assembly plants.

The company has been able to produce different fleets, which include the Kantanka Amoanimaa Saloon car, Kantanka Mensah, Kantanka 4×4 pick-up hard body, a robot capable of responding to programmed commands, a prototype rocket, a missile launcher, a wooden incubator, and a prototype armoured car. A 26” flat screen coloured television powered by a clap and turned off by hand waves et al.

Awards.

Apostle is a kindhearted man who has made a significant contribution to the African community through innovation, invention, and production. This has helped our socio-economic chain as a continent and has taken us to greater heights in the mix of tech giants.

The tech beacon has received numerous awards since he embarked on this fruitful journey. Apostle has received dozens of humanitarian awards since the year 1998 till date. Apostle was appointed an Associate Member Of the Ghana Institute of Engineers in 2004.

The Industrial Pinnacle Award, Winner of Gold in Industrial Development Engineering in 2004.
State Honor, Grand Medal (GM) Civil Division of Exemplary Leadership, Technology Ingenuity and Concern for the Deprived in Society in 2000. Charted Institute of Marketing, Special Awards in Marketing, Agricultural and Technological Skills through the Youth in 1999.

In the year 2018, Apostle Dr. Engr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, also known as Africa Star, was awarded the best scientist in Africa at the maiden Marcus Garvey Ball and Banquet awards held at the Swiss Spirit, Alisa Hotel in Accra. He received the Librarian Golden Image Award for contributing to humanity and towards peace for the people of Liberia (2012).

The Order of the Volta (Member Division) in 2012 Best Philanthropist in the Humanitarian Category of the Millennium Excellence Award (2006). He has also been awarded two Doctorate honours, an Engineering honour, and a Professor Emeritus; which was conferred on him by Alfred Nobel University in Ukraine.

The Vice President, Dr. Mahamud Bawumia, praised Hon. Joseph Cudjoe, Minister of State responsible for Public Enterprises, for his innovative work at the Ministry.

During an event organized by the Ministry of Public Enterprises, a ministry which operates directly from the presidency at Kinpeski Hotel in Accra, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana commended Hon. Joseph Cudjoe, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Effia constituency. The Vice President highlighted the Minister's innovative approach to rebuilding and retooling state or public enterprises.

Furthermore, the Vice President congratulated Hon. Joseph Cudjoe for his conception and implementation of the Public Enterprises League Table (PELT), an instrument designed to rank public enterprises and drive them towards greater effectiveness and efficiency. The Vice President described the Minister as brilliant and praised his understanding of public service and nation-building through innovative means.

In response to these remarks, some political activists perceive this as an endorsement from the Vice President; and believe it will greatly assist the Honorable Minister in securing his next term with ease.

The company has successfully established a dominant presence in the local automobile industry, leaving a significant impact in this aspect.

In response to a question from a netizen in my previous post, it was asked whether Kantanka produces small and affordable vehicles suitable for both private and commercial use. The answer is a resounding YES! Kantanka does produce these smaller cars that are not only affordable but also ensure safety. With these locally made fleets, individuals can experience a stylish ride while confidently navigating the roads of Ghana.

However, are there any exceptional measures that the company could consider implementing to further thrive in Ghana? Perhaps there are concerns regarding their marketing and branding strategies. What is preventing our leaders and the entire Ghanaian society from actively promoting these cars?

She bought my forms, filled and paid a larger portion of my tuition fee - Abeiku Santana eulogies wife.

Renowned Ghanaian media personality, Gilbert Aggrey, popularly known as Abeiku Santana, has revealed that his wife, Genevieve Benyiwah Aggrey, played a pivotal role in his academic journey.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony from the University of Ghana Business School on March 25, 2023, Abeiku Santana disclosed that it was his wife who paid for his forms, filled them, and even paid for his tuition for his Master’s degree program.

He further asserted that the wife is kind, principled and God-fearing. She always makes sure that he never slips or departs from normal good routines that can ensure academic excellence. She assisted with his assignment, learning schedules and academic writing.

Abeiku concluded that the kind of woman he got tied to, is hard to find.

Captain - I told myself: 'come on boy, simmer down and keep your focus.'

I tweeted this exactly a month ago and posted the same content on my Linkedin account. Two days later, I was tagged under a post on LinkedIn -and the post demanded my resumè. I followed the process/instructions as advertised. Days later, I got a call from this potential employer and scheduled a virtual interview.

The appointment was due and this virtual interview took place. It was amazing. I enjoyed the chemistry in the virtual interview room and some great insights shared. Immediately, I was offered a job. Was hyper and felt the adrenaline inflow - down in my spine and veins because I wasn't expectant. An exciting moment/opportunity to build myself in this area of interest. Forward, we discussed the respective terms and conditions.

The rest is history. Even now, I still wonder why some business owners sign up to get cheap labour. Imagine paying a full-time employee Gh 120 - 150 cedis per month. No allowance, no weekly mobile data stipend, nothing. My energy dwindled and decided to look elsewhere for other opportunities...

“I've seen a video of me circulating on the Internet, maliciously suggesting that it has something to do with Nana Ama Mcbrown’s exit from UTV. I hereby state emphatically that, the video has no connection with Ama's exit... However, it was in relation to a topic of a Driver and his mate who returned a huge amount of money found in their car and were merely compensated.
For the records, Nana Ama and I are not friends. We are family. She is my sister. I visit her anytime I feel like and we have a good relationship. Again, I aside my morning show on Okay FM, I have never step foot to UTV, neither do I even know what happens around. Even when it was reported that she had quit, I was the last person to find out.
I command the blood of Jesus to decend on anyone who maliciously and fiticiously accused me of that video, especially you bloggers.

This baby needs an urgent medical care.

He is a week old ( he has defied odds and lived a week). Drs are still deciding on him. This post isn’t to ask for money for surgery. The mother is insisting on taking the baby home against medical advice. She is financially incapable of supporting his immediate medical needs.
