During Clerkenwell Design Week, Hannah Nardini of WKspace presented the global trends impacting how office space is being used and designed.
The presentation was packed full of useful insights for companies looking to attract and retain talent and to make sure they make the right investments.
Here are some of our takeaways:
- Despite options for remote working, the desire to work in the office at least 2-3 days a week is typical
- Social capital is a key reason for people to come into the office, not enforced policy
- Design the workplace to support positive interactions; to network, communicate, socialise, to learn and to build relationships
- Set up meaningful and achievable Employee Value Propositions and ensure the environment supports these
- Stay agile; keep learning and keep adapting
We're in the process of finalising the product selection for one of our clients' new offices.
