This is how you need to be searching on Sales Navigator…


Step 1. Search for your target audience in the search bar using Boolean search, adding quotation marks - “Like This”

Step 2. Click Lead filters next to your search

Step 3. Add your filters. Try to focus, but don’t obsess, on the size of the company, industry and title.

Step 4. Save Your Search, click “save search” on the right of the page

If you don’t save your search you will spend too much time filtering out your searches every time you log in.


Searching correctly will give you more relevant and interesting leads, so you’ll earn more from your lead-generating efforts and spend less time on people who won’t buy now or ever.

This is where SEO happens. Include relevant keywords in your headline to increase discoverability. For example, include the keyword “speaker” if you are looking for speaking opportunities.

🌀LinkedIn banner
This is the most prominent property on the profile. Include your corporate mission and logo in the LinkedIn banner.

🌀Featured section
This is where you establish credibility. Include corporate videos, portfolios, sales kits, client testimonials, and the latest LinkedIn posts in this section.

🌀Call-to-action
