Sounds Easy

This Radio Wymondham show features easy listening music from across the years, but with the accent on the ‘Great American Songbook’ and the singers and orchestras of the 1950s and 1960s - the golden era for artists like Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald and Bing Crosby and the orchestral arrangements of maestros such as Nelson Riddle. More recent artists are featured as well, and some of the great British ones of past and present too of course. There are vocal groups, instrumentals, a touch of light jazz and swing, and regular features such as the’Crosby Corner’ and the ‘Piano Parlour’. If youre old enough to remember the original ‘Sounds Easy’ programmes on BBC Radio 2, presented by legendary broadcasters Alan Dell and, later, David Jacobs, you’ll feel very much at home here with this revived series on Radio Wymondham.
