This morning, we had a visit from a group of young people from WeMindTheGap.

During the session, we played musical games, learned about African rhythms and played djembe drums, had a jam and even celebrated a birthday!

We really look forward to working with them again!

Our students have been practising really hard in preparation for our celebration concert at Banana Ben's Play Centre and Café next week!

The concert takes place next Thursday 28th November from 4pm - 6pm. If you’d like to come along and support our talented young people, we are selling tickets for the event and these can bought from a member of staff.

All of the proceeds from the concert will go towards supporting struggling families and giving them access to our services at reduced rates.

If you’re an adult who works flexible hours, or if your child is home schooled and looking for daytime music lessons, you can get in touch with us to arrange sessions earlier in the day!

At Wrexham Sounds, we have a fully equipped recording studio, where George is on hand to teach you everything you need to know.

Wrexham Sounds offers Music for Wellbeing sessions for children, young people and vulnerable adults facing health, educational and social disadvantages.

Sessions are flexible, helping the individual to express themselves, develop their musical interests and build on their personal skills.

Music for Wellbeing is a tailored 1:1 session delivered by our specialist Music for Wellbeing tutors.

Josh attends a weekly session with Rachel where he explores his love of music by playing drums, piano and guitar.

We accept referrals from local authorities, charities, care providers, families and more.

✨Return to Music✨

If you’re over 60 and have a love of music, our Return to Music sessions are perfect for you.

Every Monday the studio is open from 10am - 11am for the group to meet, play and listen to music, chat and enjoy refreshments.

You don’t need to be able to play a musical instrument to take part in the session, everyone is welcome.

There is plenty of parking on site and the number 33 bus stop is outside the studio in Rhosrobin.

✨Courses and Workshops✨

Wrexham Sounds offer a variety of courses and workshops for schools and organisations.

Our workshops can be delivered from our studio in Rhosrobin, or at your school or venue. Our tutors can tailor any workshop to suit the needs and ability of the group.

We offer a variety of music-based workshops, personal skills courses and we are a part of the Enrichment programme, run by Wrexham County Borough Council.

At Wrexham Sounds we are celebrating the success of our AI Music Lab programme which ended in September.

43 teenagers from Wrexham, Flintshire, Denbighshire and beyond took part in the online programme, designed to enhance their AI knowledge and skills and give them opportunities to explore some leading Generative AI tools with tutor support.

Of those who took part, around half had additional learning needs. Where needed, we supplemented the online programme with in-person sessions.

Participants received certificates to mark their achievements and four were selected as winners of our Star Question prizes by our Advisory Panel. Congratulations go to Ethan, Esme, Lilly and Izzy who each win a £25 amazon gift voucher for this.

The advisory panel was made up of an academic, a musician and artist and Michael Jakobsen, business leader. We would like to thank them for volunteering their time to support the project.

⭐️ Return to Music ⭐️

If you’re over 60 and have a passion for music, then we would like to invite you to Return to Music!

Return to Music is a social for those of you who love music in any form. The group meet every Monday at the Wrexham Sounds studio in Rhosrobin from 10am - 11am.

You don’t need to be able to play an instrument to join in. We welcome anyone who enjoys listening to music or chatting about music with like minded people.

This week, we brought out Ukuleles and guitars to play and sing along to some well known hits.

Refreshments are provided and the studio is on the number 33 bus route from Wrexham. There is plenty of parking on site.

We are kindly asking for a small donation from those who attend.

Wrexham Sounds would like to congratulate the winners of our AI Music Lab Star Question award!

Participants were asked to describe something that AI will be doing in 2026 that it is not doing today. They were also asked what they will do with what they have learned from taking part in the AI Music Lab.

The best answers were selected by the advisory panel.

Well done to Izzy, Lilly, Esme and Ethan who provided the most imaginative answers, each winning a £25 Amazon gift card!
