Established this year, in a small village called Findon no less, The Big Sound Club might be a new venture, but it is by no means anything less than great. Run by a man with many years of experience and talent, The Big Sound Club looks to share their passion for making music that has a purpose, with artists that want to express their passion & Faith. Nick Sellors began his musical journey from a y
oung age. He has interest in performing, and has talent in playing numerous musical instruments, but his main passion is helping to develop other artists into their full potential. During the 90's he began to manage acts including Fischer-Z, and the well known D-Influence, and also co-managed Moloko, who created the hit song 'sing it back' whilst under his wing. From there, in 1999, he started Urbanstar Records, with his friend and colleague, Steve Wren, a DJ from Choice FM radio London. The genre of this label was R&B, hiphop and soul, and successfully developed new producers, writers and artists. Some of these artists include;
Richie Rich
Jo Jo
Ulitmate Kaos
Iceberg Slim
Romina Johnson
He also had a hand in the prodution and release of the club classic 'You are my starship' by Dazz Band. Urbanstar Records closed for business in 2004, but now Nick is looking to spread his attention and dedication to other artists looking for their break with Big Sound Club.Big Sound Club has already signed one artist by the name of CJ Edwards. CJ has multiple successes in the music industry, including TV appearances on BBC's The Voice, and the well known and loved X-Factor. He is currently working on his new EP with Big Sound Club, and recently filmed the music video for his single 'If You lead', which is to be released soon. CJ says that his career with Big Sound Club is. "Working with Big Sound Club has challenged me to think about what is possible. Not only through music but also spreading an uplifting message through any medium. There is so much that is possible and with God we can all reach out and grab it." It wants to spread big sound, and share talent and passion with the world. This small town label is looking to expand. Needless to say, if this is the case, then the Big Sound Club is something to keep your eyes on as the future for them looks resplendent.
