What do you think are there many vegan children in your setting?

What do you think are there many vegan children in your setting?

Why are products for vegan children going to be the next big growth sector? Listen to episode 72 of our Vegan Business Tribe podcast to find out!

Last year, Quorn launched their vegan Roarsomes Dinosaur Nuggets, making them one of the first high-profile food companies to bring out a vegan product aimed specifically at children.

But new research from The Vegan Society suggests that children are 50% more likely to be vegan than adults, so with demand so high why is this new sector currently so under-served?

David takes a detailed look at the Vegan Society’s new report into Vegan Food for Children and identifies the opportunities for businesses in the vegan children sector – not just in food, but in events, entertainment, education and campaigning.

He also looks at some of the barriers companies are going to face in serving this market, from education about nutrition to lobbying that will aim to stoke fears about raising a child on a vegan diet.

Listen to episode 72 to find out more!

Daisy Bump Balm
βœ¨πŸŒ±πŸ’š
It's that time of the year when we collect a good handful of daisies from the garden to begin a batch of 'Bump Balm'. I've shared this with you before, and it's such a useful recipe.
πŸ’šπŸŒ±βœ¨
Also known as Bruisewort, (wort indicates a plant that was used historically for food or medicine.) The common daisy (Bellis perennis) has actions that reduce swelling and inflammation, and promote wound healing.
βœ¨πŸŒ±πŸ’š
I pick the daisies on a sunny day, allow them to wilt a little, then cover them with oil. The daisies need to be well covered, so as not to allow mould to develop.
πŸ’šπŸŒ±βœ¨
They then sit in a sunny spot, and are to be shaken when I remember. I strain them after a couple of weeks, and gently heat the remaining oil with a little beeswax to make a balm, which we shall use as a 'bump balm' for the knocks, bumps, and scrapes that inevitably occur. Some years I omit adding the beeswax & instead use the oil as a massage oil for tired, achy muscles.
βœ¨πŸŒ±πŸ’š
As always, this information is shared with you to make your own judgments, and is not intended as medical advice. Plants are 'natural', but people can have allergic reactions, so please proceed with loving care.
