This weeks guest Sally Bee. Sally has been a massive inspiration to so many, known now for her public speaking, tv presenting and being a well established author. Starting off in the cookery world appearing on morning TV as a regular and now turning her experiences of life into a powerful message for the audiences she presents to.

Those experiences being things she has had to endure. Sally has had immense ups and downs concerning her health in the past couple of decades such as going through 5 heart attacks and thinking it was the end for her when her life was just getting going. There is so much to dive into this episode. We dive into how she copes with the illness she has and how she has turned her career into helping others and raising awareness. As well as her work doing public speaking. What an inspiring woman. Give it a listen when it comes out!

This weeks guest Archie Martin Smith. One of my closest mates. You may ask how he has been chosen as a guest. Firstly he’s a great laugh and full of surprises and secondly I wanted to take the chat about the support network a lot further. Someone going through an accident or illness/injury usually will rely on one thing. That one thing being the support network. Archie was a big part of my support during my whole recovery so it was great to openly chat about the challenges people may not realise you have to face as a family member of friend. From keeping the motivation up to dealing with the changes that may occur it’s hard to sum up into words really.

Archie is also a very Keen tennis player. Studying and training at a high level at Ozarks university in the US. While studying finance on the side. It really is an honour to call this man one of my best mates so tune in for what is going to be an interesting episode!

This weeks guest is an unusual one. Dave castle (right of photo) is a person I met on my ward during my stay in hospital early this year after more hip surgery. Dave myself and our other mate also on our ward (left of photo) sonny made life inside the hospital a lot more uplifting. Everyone in a hospital is going through a rough time in one way or another including myself I was very low but the banta we had helped push us through. We ended being called the ROH boys. (Royal orthopaedic hospital)

Dave has had his fair share of hospital stays to say the least and in this episode I wanted us to openly chat about how a different outlook can change your stay in hospital whether short or long. It doesn’t always have to be scary, overwhelming and sad. Sometimes the only way is to find the small positives. Dave has had many experiences from illness, transplants, trauma injury and many more in Couldn’t have asked for a better person to talk the subject with. Sadly sonny couldn’t make it on but I’m sure he will be laughing. So tune in to learn something abit different.

This weeks guest is Emma carpenter. Yes you may have guessed it Henry’s mum. The amount of challenges she has taken on is absolutely insane. From completing things such as 2 iron mans to her most latest adventure the marathon de sabe (5 marathons in 5 days in the Sahara) I think it’s fair to say Emma’s done more than most.

Emma is a qualified PT and Pilates instructor, with decades of experience teaching people of all ages in physical education. With many years as a professional hunt jockey. Henry sits down to find out what has shaped the way she educates people and how to never give up on your physical goals. Henry also chats about her experiences of being part of the support network during his recovery and how she found it. Lots of laughs are had to so tune in!

This weeks guest Martin Bennett!

Martin has had quite the career starting of in the fire service for many years achieving a high rank, while being a mountain rescue volunteer on the side. Since leaving the fire service Martin has gone onto study medicine/trauma at a high level so much so that he has trained thousands of young medics in that sector through different ventures.

Martin hasn’t stopped there though he is now taking his experience and knowledge more local becoming a community first responder saving lives every week. Ontop of that he gives talks in different communities training people how to use vital pieces of kit such as bleed kits and defibrillators. Martin is such an interesting bloke and this podcast covers a range of different things including that he was my first responder on the day of my accident helping save my life!

I owe him a great deal, so give it a listen when the episode comes out.
