𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: We are seeking a charismatic and knowledgeable presenter to be the face of our upcoming online campaign (stills and video) for an academic publisher. This individual should embody a blend of approachability, confidence, and worldly experience, creating an instant connection with audiences from diverse backgrounds. Think ‘Michael Palin in Nigeria or Tom Kerridge in the recent M&S adverts’. The ideal candidate will have an international look and a strong, engaging and warm presence that resonates on screen.

𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: International - Non-native English speaker but needs to have a good level of English to be understood by a global audience.

𝐀𝐠𝐞: 35 to 55

𝐒𝐞𝐱: Any

𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐬:

𝟏. Natural Rapport Builder: The presenter should effortlessly establish a connection with strangers (teachers and pupils), making conversations feel natural and engaging. They should exude warmth and approachability, making people feel at ease in their presence.
𝟐. Instils Confidence: A relaxed confidence. The candidate must be highly likeable, with an innate ability to make others feel confident and assured. Their presence should inspire trust and convey a sense of reliability and knowledge.
𝟑. Worldly and International Appeal: The presenter should have a global sensibility and an appearance that appeals to international audiences. ideally they should seem well-travelled, knowledgeable about different cultures, and have a broad worldview.
𝟒. Fluent English Speaker: The presenter must speak fluent English, with the ability to deliver lines clearly and convincingly. Their accent should add to their charm and international appeal.
𝟓. BIPOC English: We are specifically seeking a presenter who is a person of colour, reflecting a diverse and inclusive image.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:We are planning 2-separate shoots to capture content for this campaign, which will include travelling overseas (currently this is planned for Brazil and either Malaysia or Thailand). The bulk of the filming will take place within schools in these countries, with the presenter spending time with and talking to teachers and pupils. We will also need to capture content of our presenter exploring the local area to ‘set the scene’. You will be travelling from the UK with a small crew/team of approx. 7 people. The shoots are currently planned for late September and early October.

Fully paid (performance and usage), and all travel, accommodation, expenses, visas and vaccinations (if applicable) will be covered and arranged by us.

🎬 Filming Casting Call - Cambridge, UK 🎬

Primary School Pupils, age 7-11 of 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲

£150 flat fee (half-day shoot) +travel expenses.

We are casting for a 60-second online promo for an educational publisher based in Cambridge, UK. The video revolves around the importance of research and insight in learning in the classroom.

Children will be required to appear in a single scene, which will be set in a Primary School classroom, standing/seated in the background of the shot behind our lead actress. No spoken lines required, just children who are good at taking direction. They will be required for a half-day only.

The Primary school location is still being confirmed but is expected to take place in or around Cambridge. We can provide a maximum travel budget of £35 so local applications are preferred.

Needed on January 27 or 28 (date still TBC)

Child performance licenses will be applied for with the appropriate local authorities for successfully cast children, and requirements for a chaperone will be arranged.
