❤️ Its time - the weekend before Christmas and we are here for all the Christmas TV! We have pulled together a handy guide of Christmas TV with free watches from the BBC (we cannot wait for the Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl). Can you believe The Wrong Trousers was aired 30 years ago? This new movie also features the original penguin! 🐧

✨ Christmas Lights at Kingfisher Chase & Dipper Lea✨

📍Kingfisher Chase is based on Jennett’s Park, Bracknell Forest. There is a car park, Peacock Meadows Car park just off swift fields!

I just had to share some photos of this amazing light display at Kingfisher Chase & Dipper Lea! It's back and I think it's bigger and better than ever. We love coming to see all the houses covered in white lights it really does start the festive season for us! The residents really put so much effort in to the displays all raising money for charity this year it is Alzheimer's Society, you can donate when you visit or the link is on the events page of Wokingham Rocks.

📍 The Coombes Woods, off Bearwood Road, Barkham

An enchanting woodland walk, with beautiful Autumn colours and even a chance for wild deer spotting for this week's Wednesday Walk around The Coombes. 🦌

🍂 There are various access points to these woods via residential roads, so please park considerately. You will also find a few spots to park down Coombes Lane, just past the residential houses (RG41 4SU). 🌲

🍂 If you take the main track from Coombes Lane, there are great views over the stunning Bearwood golf course on the right hand side. There are then various paths to your left which are signposted to take you on a variety of walks around the woodland and beyond. ⛳

There's a great circular route and map of the woods to download from the My Journey Wokingham website, which in turn links to the Barkham Parish Council website. You can follow the full 2.7 miles Coombes Circular Walk, or shorten the walk by following the paths just around the woods itself. Stick to the marked paths though, as most of the woodland is private land.

If you're lucky, you might even spot a wild deer (including a festive Rudolf!) in the surrounding fields, like our very excited photographer Julia Morrison Photography - UK 🦌

The main track down from Coombes Lane is very muddy, so wellies are advised and it may not be suitable for pushchairs. 👢 There are plenty of muddy puddles to jump in for Peppa Pig fans (some larger than others!), so be prepared with a change of clothes for little ones! 🧥

Enjoy the peace and quiet of this enchanting woodland. It can be a bit isolated though, so it's worth considering going with a friend. 🧑🏿‍🤝‍🧑🏻

Waverly Playground

📍 Waverley Way, Finchampstead, Wokingham RG41 4DU

Waverly Playground is located next to Waverley School and is surrounded by a huge park ideal for picnics. Please note these photos were taken last year.

This is a little hidden gem in Finchamstead. There is a small carpark on Waverley Way or you can park considerately down Nash Grove Lane, the park is at the end of this road on the right hand side. 🚗

🌳 If you want more of walk and an explore through some woody area then you can park on Evendons Lane and take the path just past (stop off for a yummy milkshake) on the left and walk through the wood past the golf course. The public footpath runs adjacent to Sand Martins Golf Course make sure you keep to right hand side public footpath. 🏌️

🎃 First Days Pumpkin Trail 🎃

🗺️ The First Days Children's Charity pumpkin trail is back and running until 3rd November. Collect your map from the The Look Out Discovery Centre (suggested donation £3) follow the trail, find the letters that spell out a secret word.

Once you've got the word you can head back to the Look Out to collect your treat! 🍬

(PR invite) 🎮 🏎️ The kids LOVED it!!!! This mobile gaming party bus can come to any venue as long as there is power!
