The Garden of the Galaxy

The Garden of the Galaxy My novel The Garden of the Galaxy is more than just an attempt at predicting the future in the year 3000+.

It also asks the question, how are we going to have a community across the galaxy if the maximum speed of travel is only the speed of light?

The sequel to the Garden of the Galaxy is now available. Policeman George is in a terrible place and is worried about himself, so he decides to keep a diary so that if the worst happens, there will be something for his wife Becky and son Tom to read. He needs to get away to sort his head out (hopefully). How will things turn out? Available from Amazon ( link on my website www.pennantpublishing.co.uk ) in paperback or Kindle format. Please leave a review on Amazon if you like my writing. Thanks.

I am writing a sequel to The Garden of the Galaxy, called George's Diary. He decides on returning home that that his depression is so severe he is in danger of killing himself, so he starts to keep a journal so that if the tragedy does occur, there will be something for his wife Becky and son Tom to read. Grim.

I have discovered self publishing on Amazon and produced three more books since the Garden of the Galaxy either as Kindles or paperbacks. Pleasing. I plan to turn the Kindl versions into paperbacks this year. Fun!

By the time publication day arrived (15.1.18) I was in hospital with severe pancreatitis. I had five operations, none of which I was expected to survive, but after seven months I made it back home and am now fully recovered, to the amazement of the medics. Wonderful!
This meant a total lack of marketing and follow up for the book. Too bad.
I was hoping to spark discussion of themes from the book, but that never took off either.
I continue to believe that accelerating objects can travel at any speed, and are not limited by the speed of light. I acknowledge that this cannot be observed. This has important ramifications for the future of humanity to my mind.
600 copies of the book have gone out, and I have 400 copies left. Thank you for your interest. Much appreciated.

Publication day is January 18th. I am addressing about 300 black plastic envelopes to send complimentary copies to friends and family to launch the book. 9 inches by seven inches is a perfect fit for the book, and I enclose a bookmark and a covering note with it.

I have sent review copies to 9 magazines, 8 newspapers, 6 radio stations, 2 TV stations, and 6 others. I have also mailed copies to my relatives in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Tasmania by surface mail, timed so that they arrive at about publication date on 15th January 2018. It's about scattering the seed. Will it take root?

The books have arrived. 1000 copies, superbly printed by Page Bros of Norwich.
