Anyone else kicking off their week after a win of football over the weekend? ⚽️ Not just one win, but three wins for me :)

I grew up supporting Nottingham Forrest (always my team at heart). I then moved to Manchester for University and just loved watching Manchester City at Main road, and then Etihad Stadium. With a passion for sport, We Love Images are proudly in their third year of sponsorship of our local under-14 boys football team.

With a super logo created by massmeja looking incredible as always on their shirts.

So great to be able to support something that makes the boys so happy, and especially proud to showcase our small business after a win is weekend at Hazelmere tournament on Saturday 🏆

You’ve probably heard the role “producer’ but wondered what does it mean ?

A producer is the ‘go to’ person in charge of everything from the initial pitch and concept of any vision to coordinating with the client and creative team, managing budgets.

It is no exaggeration to say producers can make or break a production, with experience they will know when to pivot or make changes to ongoing vision. They are often the reason for success or failure.

Negotiating is one of the known key strengths of any producer, we are often known as the ‘money people’.

We are crucial for the client to ensure their budget is spent well, there is so much content consumed, it needs to stand out - less can indeed sometimes be more.

I am always having conversations about budgets, it is my job to define and defend the value of craft.

I do not always settle for the limitations on offer, sometimes that extra 10% can make all the difference. Consumers are savvy, they sure know cheap content.

There is a tremendous skill in elevating any piece of moving image to a greater level and as with anything of merit, it often comes at a cost.

I have always been interested in the power of moving images. In particular, I love the connection between seeing something and feeling something.

The joy for me comes from finding a way to take a brief and turn it into something the client can only imagine. Interacting with teams, discussing their vision, and helping them achieve it is so satisfying. It is why I do what I do.

Managing the budget and schedule is crucial, but I strongly feel my key skill is identifying the creative team and I am told being able to spot creative talent is my ‘superpower’. This is my favourite part of the job - having the responsibility to select and work with the best team for each project and champion film craft.

Essentially a good producer should be able to take an idea and create a masterpiece on brief, in budget, on time and for me most of all engages and moves the audience.

At 11 A.M. on November 11, 1918, the guns on the Western Front fell silent after more than four years of continuous warfare.

Today we remember the sacrifice of those who fought and died in World War I and in other wars.

In memory of those who fought for us we thought we would share our work on 'War Horse' ❤️

Let's chat about the importance of sound in production.

Sound is important because it engages audiences: it helps deliver information, increases the production value, it evokes emotional responses, it emphasises what's on the screen and it is used to indicate mood.

If we just close our eyes for one minute, we can remember our favourite movie character from the sound of their voice! That is the power of sound.
