Sunshine and smiles all round and a good result fundraising for charity Wi******er Radio on Sunday, where our dedicated volunteers Tony, Nigel and Anna (plus Bruno the dog!) were up and out early at the local car-boot sale on the site of the Old Cattlemarket car park on Andover Road/Worthy Lane, Wi******er, collecting pitch fees from those selling. These along with donations on the day, meant we raised £551.50! (and we'll be able to boost the donations with Gift Aid too).

Thanks so much to everyone who came along and supported us, and to Wi******er City Council for giving us this valuable fundraising opportunity. It all really helps hardworking volunteer-led grassroots charities like ourselves. It was also lovely chatting to people who are avid listeners to Wi******er Radio, and we met some of our alumni there too! 😊

Here are our lovely ward befrienders Val and Jeremy - both are joyful souls and rays of sunshine! As part of their volunteering at Wi******er Radio, they regularly visit patients at the RHCH, have a chat and collect their music requests and messages, Music is incredibly therapeutic, and patients really appreciate hearing their favourites.
