Awful news from Marwell Zoo this afternoon - the male Amur tiger, Bagai, has sadly died. Carrie Arnold, Carnivore Team Leader, said: “He was lovable, goofy and cheeky. He was always playing 'hide and seek' with his keepers, trying to hide behind rocks and plants, not realising he was bigger than all of them. “Bagai had a huge personality and was loved by everyone that saw him. This week we are all allowed to walk through the Cathedral... Curle’s Passage, which links the Inner and Outer Closes, is closed until Friday. The closure is for essential works, cleaning, and scaffolding installation to be carried out by cathedral masons. There will be a diversion route in place through the cathedral for members of the public to access the city centre from the Inner Close and vice-versa.
