A CATHOLIC PRIEST VOWS TO LEAVE THE CHURCH VERY SOON.

"I am leaving the church any moment from now" ~ Rev. Fr Obayi Paul explodes

The spiritual director of the Okunerere Adoration Ministry, Nsukka, Rev. Fr (Prof.) Paul Obayi popularly called Fr Okunerere has reeled out accusations against his bishop, the Catholic bishop of Nsukka Diocese, Bishop Godfrey I. Onah. The spiritual priest revealed that the church has been oppressing him. The latest oppression came as the bishop and other fellow priests want to take away his land by force.

Here are some of the things Okunerere said in the about 30 minutes video.

"The church is my vineyard, I love the church, I love my Nsukka (Catholic) church, I love the bishop, I love the priests, I love them, but they are oppressing me.

"I was looking for a land where I will conduct my adoration but couldn't find. I rented a place behind Queens College Nsukka and started my adoration there. Bishop Onah chased me out of the place, saying I was causing noise and distracting the Students of Queens.

"The past governor of Enugu State, Gburugburu gave me this piece of land I'm staying in now. I told the bishop that I have a land and I took him there to see the land. When he came, he then said that the land is fine to be used to build the Marian Shrine. I told him it's my adoration ministry I want to start here and not Marian Shrine. He said I shouldn't talk about it again. It is the same land that the bishop gave out to the church without consulting me, without any discussion.

"I give everything to the church, yet the church wants to strangle me to death. But it can't happen!

"I bought and installed the best transformer in the cathedral of Nsukka Diocese which they're using till today.

"Bishop Onah mandated me to build a museum where I would keep the deities I remove from villages. I spent 2.8m to build the museum upstairs inside the cathedral and reported to my bishop. The only 'thank you' I got from my bishop was that he asked me where did I get the money to build it when he has banned me from selling olive oil. Yet, I endured it.

"At Obimo, I got a land to build my adoration ministry. It's a mountain. I spent more than 50m to level the place and create roads, then built a 30 room self con house there. The church collected it from me and I surrendered it. Kidnappers are using that building today to keep their victims because the church isn't using it till today after collecting it from me. Bishop Onah said he wants to use the place as Nsukka Diocesan Pilgrimage Centre.

"I was posted to Obollo where I spent 10 million to build a church. Bishop Onah came to dedicate it and on the day of the dedication, everybody present was acknowledged but they refused to acknowledge me, Fr Obayi who built the church. Just after 2 months of dedicating the church, the bishop transfered me to Ikem, where everybody knows that the roads there are filled with kidnappers.

"I was an associate professor but no one in the Diocese ever announced me as associate professor, but those priests who became associate professors yesterday are recognized by the Diocese but I was ignored till today.

"It got to the point that fellow priests broke my gate just to take my land, they said they were sent.

"On bishop Onah's Episcopal ordination, I supplied drinking water free to everybody in attendance.
"The oppression is too much. Priests are avoiding coming to my adoration because if they see any priest in my adoration, during posting, they will post the priest in a far away village beyond Adani in Uzo Uwani LGA.

"I have been inviting the bishop to my adoration but he refused coming, saying he doesn't understand what we are doing here.

"If Charismatic draft a programme and include my name as a guest priest, when they take it to the Diocese for approval, the authorities will tear the programme on seeing my name there. They would ask the Charismatic why should they invite Fr Okunerere. For 10 years now, I have not attended any charismatic programme because the church authorities won't permit me.

"Bishop Onah stopped me from going to London to preach, saying that I would go there to preach heresy. I asked him, before you became my bishop, I had attended 10 different programmes in London where I preached. Is it now you're my bishop that I will preach heresy?

"The church refused to give me land for my adoration, and the one given to me by the government, the church wants to collect it from me.

"Since the church doesn't want me again, I am leaving the Catholic church any moment from now. I can't kill myself".

Breaking News: On 8th August 2023 some people identified as Taskforce for weekly commercial vehicles IGR on green jackets ran after our vehicle with bike hit the driver with heavy block while on motion which leads to a fatal accident that made the vehicle to summersault and the driver unconscious. The victims which are the driver and the two people suspected to be students were rushed to st Joseph hospital Adazi . One of the perpetrators were apprehended at the police station and the local Government chairman of Anaocha visited the scene yesterday with his entourage.

Burkina Faso renounces its Non-Double neocolonial Taxation Treaty with France, a pact that has been in place since 1967.

Burkina Faso under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré has withdrawn from the Non-Double neocolonial Taxation Treaty with France that was established in 1967.
The Burkina Faso government announced the termination of the double taxation agreement, signed on August 11, 1965, which had been in effect since February 15, 1967, along with its subsequent amendment signed on June 3, 1971, which took effect on October 1, 1974.
The decision comes as a result of France's refusal to renegotiate the terms of the agreement. Olivia Rouamba, head of Burkina Faso’s diplomatic service, explained that this action is necessary due to France's lack of response to requests for negotiations made in January 2020 and late 2021. The denunciation will become effective within three months from the date of notification.
This move is seen as significant, as it will impact French multinationals in Burkina Faso, who previously benefited from tax exemptions under the treaty.

A “huge blow” for France

Phillipe Traoré, a tax expert from Burkina Faso, explained that the double taxation treaty, among other things, allows individuals and companies to avoid paying taxes on the same income in two different countries.

He believes that this measure is “very serious for French multinationals” established in Burkina, adding that “all French income derived from activities carried out on Burkinabe soil will now be taxed.”

“In fact, with the convention signed, the Burkinabè did not deduct any withholding tax on income from services provided by French people (individuals and/or companies) in Burkina,” he said.

The tax expert pointed out that French companies, in particular, are exempt from many taxes in Burkina by virtue of the double taxation treaty.

In his opinion, this gives them a competitive advantage over all other companies operating in Burkina Faso.

“It is a real blow for France and a financial windfall for Burkina,” insisted Phillipe Traoré.

This denunciation comes 48 hours after France suspended all development aid and budgetary support to Burkina following the support given by the Burkinabe military junta to the National Committee for the Defence of the Homeland (CNSP), which overthrew Mohamed Bazoum in Niger on July 26.

Nigerian Airforce fighter aircraft of the air component, Operation Delta Safe have bombed and destroyed 3 boats sighted tapping crude oil from a pipeline at a dispensing site, west of Bonny Island and South of Port Harcourt, in Rivers State.

Director of NAF Public Relations, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet who made this known said the air strikes and destruction were carried out on Saturday, August 5 2023.

He said, “These are not the best of times for oil thieves and their accomplices in the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria as the Air Component of Operation Delta Safe (OPDS) continues to strike at the heart of their activities.

“One of such operations occurred on Saturday 5 August 2023 at about 4 Nautical Miles South-East of Bille, a riverine area located west of Bonny Island and South of Port Harcourt, in Rivers State.

“The air strikes became necessary after 3 boats were sighted tapping crude oil from a pipeline.

“Consequently, the boats were engaged and destroyed by the aircraft.

“Flying towards Port Harcourt, the crew also observed an active illegal refining site with tanks and reservoirs loaded with suspected illegal refined products, about 4 miles South-east of Idama in Rivers State.

“The site was subsequently attacked and destroyed.

“Air strikes against these economic saboteurs will be sustained until they desist from their acts of thievery and economic sabotage.

“The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has since directed all air component commanders nationwide to ensure they team up with other security agencies as they sustain air strikes on all criminal elements in the country.
According to him, “The days of treating criminal elements in our country with kids’ gloves is over.

“We must continue on this trajectory until we bring all of them to their knees.”

The missing fact about Ike Ekweremadu case m

Barr. Emeka Ugwuonye explains the missing links in the Ekweremadu's trial. He wrote:

SOME LITTLE DETAILS YOU DID NOT KNOW ABOUT IN THE EKWEREMADU CASE

David Ukpo Nwamini is the 21-year old Lagos street hawker who was to give his kidney to Ekweremadu’s daughter IN London. When he was interviewed at the hospital in London, they asked him if he knew he was to donate his kidney to Sonia Ekweremadu. He first told them that he had no money to donate. They explained to him that it was his kidney that he was to donate. He asked them what was kidney. Initially, the doctors thought it was a question of language, since David’s English was not good enough. However, they eventually understood that David did not know which human organ was called kidney. In other words, he did not know what organ he was to give Sonia. That led the doctors to conclude that the procedure was not well-explained to David and that is the number one requirement by law. According to the law, you must explain to the organ donor the procedure and all the health risks associated with the procedure. It is only then that the donor is taken to have informedly consented. When the doctors found that David did not understand what he was about to get involved in, they declared him a mismatch.

The term “mismatch” is a technical generic language to indicate that the proposed organ harvesting has not met all the requirements. Many in Nigeria have misunderstood the term “mismatch” in this case to mean that David’s kidney was not suitable for Sonia. No! There was nothing wrong with David’s Kidney. To donate an organ, the facts must match both the law and the science governing the procedure. While the kidney matched the scientific requirement, the facts did not match the legal requirement. So, it was declared a mismatch. To help you understand it better, the term “mismatch” means there is a discrepancy.

The doctors who interviewed David did not and could not have determined that a crime was committed. The doctors did not have sufficient information to reach such conclusion then. They felt uncomfortable with the discrepancies in the information they had about the donor and his decisions and whether he had made up his mind. For instance, the doctors did not get involved in how David was brought to them or whether he was paid. It was not their duty to deal with that. It was actually when Ekweremadu and Dr. Obinna attempted to return David to Nigeria that the problem started. David expected that he would be given a job in London as he was told before he left Nigeria. They did not give him job and they did not send him to school. Instead of all he was promised, he was asked to prepare to return to Nigeria and David ran away from the house where he was kept. As hunger wired him, he reported himself to the police. To win the immediate protection of the police, he lied about his age by telling them he was 15. It was when he was interviewed by the police that the information came out which established that a crime was committed. For instance, it was at the police station that they asked him if he was paid money and he said yes he was paid N270,000. When the police checked the WhatsApp chats between Ekweremadu and Dr. Obeta they realized that Ekweremadu actually paid 4.5 million for Obeta to pay to David. But Obeta only paid David N270,000 and pocketed the rest.

In fact, Ekweremadu tried to keep himself away from certain details of the deal. That was why Ekweremadu never discussed money with David. In fact, he did not deal directly with David. That was what made it possible for Obeta to cheat him. Ekweremadu believed that the 4.5 million went to David. But since he was not dealing with David directly, he never knew that Obeta pocketed most of the money. However, the law viewed Ekweremadu’s decision not to deal directly with David as a typical behavior of a big man who knew that he is getting involved in a crime. He would usually try to create some distance between him and the crime, yet he will be funding the crime from afar. Otherwise, how come you never wanted to meet the boy that is giving his kidney to your daughter and whom you called cousin to your daughter (which actually makes him your nephew)? Rather than see the non-direct dealing as evidence of his innocence, it was seen as deliberate or willful ignorance aimed at evading legal responsibility.

One of the key factors that worked against Ekweremadu was that he lied. On three official documents he signed, he stated that David was Sonia’s cousin. But in all the WhatsApp chats he had with the doctor and his own brother over the matter, he referred to David as “that guy”. Hence the question: “You knew he was not Sonia’s cousin. While you signed that he was her cousin, when you wanted to say the truth, you referred to him as “that guy”, meaning you didn’t know him or even remember his name”. Ekweremadu admitted in court that he lied and apologized.

NOTE: I decided to provide these details because I have read somewhere it was being said that David misled Ekweremadu and took advantage of him. No, David is a real victim. He did not manipulate them. He was manipulated by Dr. Obinna Obeta, who was working for the Ekweremadu.

The 3-year-old missing girl, Lydia Azatyom, who was rescued from a dry well in Jos, Plateau State, has been found d3ad after she disappeared again.

LIB reported that the child was declared missing by her family on Thursday, October, 27, 2022 after she disappeared while playing with other kids in the compound.

She was found three days later inside a dry well in an abandoned compound at Angwan Yashi area of Tudun Wada.

The girl sustained bruises and head injury and was taken to a hospital for medical attention. She was discharged upon recovery.

However, in a dramatic twist, on Friday, November 11, 2022, at about 4pm, Lydia went missing again.

According to Dauda Dung, a neighbour, Lydia was with her mother in the house when the woman went out to buy food at a neighbour's house.

On returning, Lydia was nowhere to be found around the house. All efforts to find her in the neighborhood proved abortive.

On Saturday morning, November 12, 2022, Lydia was found d3ad.

According to Tudun Wada Broadcast, her body was recovered from a well (with water) in their compound.

It was further gathered that investigation is ongoing.

Meanwhile, Daily Trust reported that Lydia's initial disappearance elicited mixed feelings and reactions in the community as people have been expressing all manner of opinions, which revolves around suspicion, mystery, confusion, among others.

According to the report, Lydia was playing in the compound with about six other children when she suddenly disappeared. She was in the company of her elder brother and cousins who were on mid-term break from school.

Their correspondent who visited the house gathered that after Lydia’s aunty left them playing in the compound, she went inside to take a rest and instructed the children not to go out of the compound.

The children continued playing, and Lydia also suggested/gestured that she was going inside the room, and nobody saw her again thereafter.

A member of the community, Solomon Jan Yilzakka, concurred with Deborah Izang that there was something unnatural with the incident.

Atiku's convoy attacked in Borno

The convoy of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was attacked in Maiduguri, Borno State, on Wednesday, November 9.

The presidential campaign trail of the opposition party landed in Borno, an All Progressives Congress (APC) controlled state, on Wednesday.

The hoodlums vandalised vehicles in the convoy of Atiku at Ramat Square in Maiduguri, the state capital.

Confirming the attack, the spokesperson of the Atiku Campaign, Dino Malaye, blamed the attack on the ruling party in Borno. He was quoted as saying over 70 people have been hospitalized due to the attack.

“They wanted to prevent us from holding the campaign, as we speak, 74 people were injured and hospitalised. Several vehicles were vandalised by APC thugs.”he said

The APC is yet to react to Melaye’s allegation.

*MANY REASONS TINUBU IS LUCKY HE DID NOT ATTEND THE ARISE NEWS PRESIDENTIAL TOWN HALL*

On Saturday, 5/11/2023, the Arise TV News, in collaboration with other democracy and media partners, organised a Town Hall interaction to give the public opportunity to interogate the plans of the presidential candidates for the next February 2023 elections. But as usual, Tinubu was on the run again. Below are a few points that worked for him for staying away from that meeting. But what manner of president will be avoiding interrogation from the same ppl he hopes to lead?

1. Candidates had to stand to answer questions. Tinubu would not be strong enough to be standing and sitting every time in the course of the program

2. No written text. Everyone that made points didn't expect the questions, so no one had a prepared text

3. Eloquence. Every candidate spoke eloquently within time frame of 3 minutes and 1 minute to answer questions. Tinubu cannot face that

4. Anger management. If they ask Tinubu questions that he does not have answer, the tendency is to get angry and create scenes

5. _Emi lokan_ mentality. Tinubu just believe presidency is just his own now, whether or not he has the physical and mental ability to manage the office. This would have certainly affected his reaction to tough questions that were asked

6. Failure of his (APC) in govt. It is not easy to defend a failed govt. Tinubu would have nothing to say about performance of his party in the last 7 years

7. Fear of goof. Tinubu has consistently goofed at public fora, even if he has a written text. He must have been advised to avoid the program bcoz of that

8. The peaceful and joking but serious atmosphere at that forum is opposed to Tinubu's stance of aggressiveness and taking offences at anything.

9. Fact checker! This was the scariest time. The organizers brought in a young man who was checking claims and statements of candidates for facts or otherwise. Tinubu would have no statement to subject to facts check. This could have collapsed him right there!

His advisers gave the best advice to instead, go and party at a birthday in order to avoid embarrassment at the Town Hall. I do know that he may never attend any such debates at all. What a kind of president!

He was later killed after years of manhunt, by Interpol in the year 1993.

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu has fixed his campaign rallies in Anambra State and Imo State on Mondays.

The APC and Tinubu’s decision to hold their presidential campaigns on Mondays contradicts the sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the Southeast region.

The timetable released by the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) shows that Mr Tinubu will hold a campaign rally and a stakeholders’ engagement in Imo State on Monday, 21 November.

On Monday, 30 January, the campaign train will move to Anambra, the home state of Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate.

Recall IPOB declared the sit-at-home order in August 2021 to protest and demand the release of their leader Nnamdi Kanu, who is standing trial on treason and terrorism charges by the Nigerian government.

Violators of the sit-at-home order have been victims of violence and killings by gunmen in southeast states on Mondays. Vehicular movements and commercial activities are on halt in compliance with IPOB’s order.

In early October, IPOB said it has no plans to disrupt the 2023 election and accused the government of masterminding insecurity in the Southeast zone.

Days later, an appeal court acquitted Kanu of all charges against him but the government said it will “consider all available options open to us on the judgment.”

IPOB has since approached the Supreme Court challenging the October 28, 2022, decision of the Court of Appeal, which granted a stay of ex*****on of its order discharging and acquitting him.

Popular actors, producers and entertainers under the auspices of Progressive Coalition of Entertainers have declared total support for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

The group, led by popular actor, Saheed Balogun announced this during a courtesy visit to Lagos Speaker Mudashiru Obasa on Friday at the Assembly’s complex in Lagos.

Obasa, who received the group, urged them not to relent in their effort to ensure victory for the APC presidential candidate in the election.

EFCC releases photos of Ekweremadu's forfeited properties

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has released photos of some of the 40 properties Justice Inyang Ekwo of a Federal High Court, Abuja, ordered former Deputy Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, to forfeit to the Federal government.

LIB had earlier reported that the antigraft agency today secured the prder for the interim forfeiture of 40 landed properties, nine in Dubai, linked to Ekweremadu.

Among the affected properties include 10 in Enugu, three in the United States of America, two in the UK, one in Lagos, nine in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates and 15 located in the Federal Capital Territory.
