A 43-year-old man from Dorchester, identified as Simon Silvester, has been apprehended following a sting operation orchestrated by a child protection team known
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Services are currently attending a fire at a property along Dorchester Road in Weymouth opposite the Rembrandt Hotel.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Approximately 20 firefighters from Weymouth, Portland and Dorchester were called to reports of a derelict property on fire in Dorchester Road, Weymouth at 5.40am this morning (September 1).
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two main lines and two hose reels to extinguish the fire. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
"Colleagues from Dorset Police and South West Ambulance Service also attended this incident.
"The stop message, meaning that the incident had been dealt with and no further action was required came in at 7.04am."

BREAKING NEWS- Weymouth vs Yeovil postponed as air ambulance lands on pitch at Weymouth Football Club. Reports suggest that a fan had a medical episode in the stands. Which is believed to be an anaphylaxis reaction linked to a latex allergy. After multiply epipens an ambulance was called. Once onsite, the paramedics requested the air ambulance, which landed on the pitch. However the fan was transported by land ambulance. We wish the fan a speedy recovery.

BREAKING- The Princess of Wales Kate Middleton has released a video statement announcing she is currently receiving Chemotherapy treatment for cancer. In January kate had abdominal surgery in London, at which point it was believed that it was not cancerous. After the surgery, tests indicated the presence of cancer. Kate has now started preventive Chemotherapy to treat the cancer. Kate thanked the public for their support.
