Serious collision, Staddiscombe
Police were notified at 11.15am on Monday 2 January to reports of a two-vehicle collision on Staddiscombe Road in Staddsicombe, Devon.
The collision involved a red KIA Rio and a black Land Rover. The driver of the KIA, an 85-year-old local woman, was extracted from the vehicle.
She sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision and was conveyed to Derriford Hospital. Next of kin were informed.
The driver of the Land Rover sustained minor injuries.
South West Ambulance Service, Cornwall Fire Rescue and Devon and Cornwall Police attended the incident where the female patient was extracted from the vehicle.
Officers from the Serious Collisions Investigation Team would like to thank those members of the public who assisted at the scene and are appealing for any witnesses not spoken to at the location, particularly those with Dashcam of the collision, to come forward quoting log 226 02/01/23.
