Happy new year to all customers old and new.

A little update on things going on down the studio.

+ For those who don't know, Overall Studios has a recording studio on site if your looking to capture your next project (call the studio for more info)

+ Our coffee is awesome and for just £1 it's an absolute bargain (we sell tea for 70p as well)

+ I'm looking at doing a monthly music meeting. A gathering during the week where people can pop into the studio and just chill out and chat with other musicians for a couple hours.

+ Lots of other things in the pipeline to watch out for.

How do all you fine people.

Saturday 25th February the studio will be hosting a swap shop/shop for anyone wanting to sell or swap music stuff that you don't want.

If you are wanting to bring any items down on the day to sell/swap please get in touch with the studio to let them know what it is your wanting to sell.

If any bands have merch they would like to put out your also more then welcome.

*** BAND LOOKING FOR BASS PLAYER***

New Alternative/Rock/Shoegaze band are looking for a talented and versatile Bassist aged 25-45 to join the band. Ideally someone who has gig/recording experience. We rehearse currently in Washington.

Some of our collective influences are - Deftones, Sleeptoken, Placebo, Radiohead, Incubus, Nothing, My Vitriol, A Perfect Circle to name a few.

The band are looking to gig and record when possible so flexibility would be ideal.

Own gear and own transport is needed.

Today is a sad day. One of the studios best friends has sadly passed away. Mark Wilson (WIB) was an amazing gentleman and a great laugh. I had the pleasure of playing music with him and even recording with him a few times.

You have left a massive hole in the world and will not be forgotten. RIP Friend.

A little story about wib.. the bellow link is the end result...

One day I was in the studio and wib was in until 1pm on a Saturday. He leaves the studio and I decide, because it's quiet, to set up some recording equipment to try it out as I've not done much with it..

1.30 pm I get a call off WiB asking if he can come back for ANOTHER Session 🤣 yeh of course why not.. I'm here so come down..

As soon as he walks in, he sees the recording equipment and asked me if he can have a go..

At 1st I had hesitated because I didn't know what I was doing but wib sits down and starts to play..

After the recording (a sh*tty field recorder nothing professional) he then went into the room to practice....... 30 SECONDS LATER!!!!!!!

How about we do a video for that song as well Barry? 🤣

If I'm honest I didn't want to because I had no idea about any of it but long story short... the final outcome was great and wib was over the moon..

Wib was not just a customer to me.. he was a friend, he was a supporter, he was an all around genuine person who put the needs of others before his own.

He was also an absolute loony toon and that's why I loved him. You will be missed 1000% and your music will be heard.. I promise you that..
