Radio Warneford Welcome to Radio Warneford, the hospital broadcasting service based at Warwick Hospital. Why Radio "Warneford"?

Celebrating more than fifty years of fabulous hospital radio across South Warwickshire. We’ve been making patients happy since 1973 and absolutely love what we do! The station was founded back in 1973 to provide entertainment for patients over the Christmas period. At that time, the main hospital for the area was the Warneford General Hospital on Radford Road in Leamington Spa and that's where we

were based for twenty years. Warwick Hospital got its first taste of Radio Warneford's programmes in 1988 when broadcasts started being relayed from the Leamington studios via a landline. The Warneford Hospital finally closed its doors to patients in 1993 and Radio Warneford moved into brand new, purpose-built studios on the Warwick Hospital site. Having operated for twenty years and become well known locally as Radio Warneford, a change of name was thought inappropriate. So although the Warneford Hospital is now no more, its name continues to live on in ours.

It's your last chance to soak up the atmosphere at the 2024 Leamington Spa Christmas Tree Festival. It's happening at All Saints Parish Church in Leamington from 1pm to 5pm this afternoon. Wander around the church and enjoy sixty trees decorated by local charities and organisations and the festival is promoting the work of Molly Ollys Wishes, a charity that supports children with life-limiting illnesses.

The Leamington Spa Christmas Tree Festival at All Saints Parish Church is now OPEN! We have a fantastic tree on display this year, amongst around sixty trees supported by local charities and organisations. The festival is open until Sunday 15 December and is promoting Molly Ollys Wishes, a charity that supports children with life-limiting illnesses.
