❤️ Women have outnumbered men in the newest student cohort at the Boat Building Academy (BBA) in Lyme Regis on their flagship 40-week course for the first time in its 28-year history!

🙏 The rise in female applicants at the BBA is the result of a new Diversity and Inclusivity mission launched by Belinda Joslin, founder of Women in Boatbuilding (WIBB)! Wow!

🛥️ Princess Yachts, the renowned British luxury boatbuilder, has announced plans to cut approximately 250 jobs at its Plymouth shipyard, citing “challenging market conditions” and the need to streamline operations.

🇮🇹 Italian shipyard Rossinavi has unveiled Solsea, a hybrid-electric catamaran superyacht developed in collaboration with designer Yves Béhar. Designed for active owners, Solsea prioritizes sustainability, efficiency, and long-distance travel, enabling extended voyages without the need for refueling.

🇬🇧 Barton Marine has unveiled a newly designed range of Genoa cars, the result of extensive research and development over several years.

🤝Vision Marine and Massimo Marine have joined forces to create a 30-foot electric pontoon boat designed for both commercial and recreational use.

🇺🇸 Highfield Boats USA, a leading manufacturer of rigid inflatable boats (RIBs), reports holding nearly 30% of the U.S. market and has recently expanded its sales network.

🟰 I’m hitting pause on new episodes for a little while, I hope you understand.

I adore podcasting, really I do! I wouldn’t make this decision if I didn’t have to. 😐

I suffer with severe asthma and this is making it tough to record right now. Holding long conversations and being on camera for extended periods is just too uncomfortable at the moment. 😮‍💨

I want to make sure I’m fully present for my guests and giving them the best possible platform to share their incredible stories. This doesn’t feel possible right now.

This break is only temporary, and I’ll be back as soon as I’m able 💥

🚗 Aptera Motors: A Glimpse Into the Future of Solar EVs!

Aptera Motors has been pushing boundaries with its innovative solar electric vehicles (SEVs), but the road to scaled production remains challenging!

While their production-intent builds continue to move forward, the timeline for customer deliveries is still a “moving target,” dependent on the startup’s ability to secure essential funding.

💰 Like many startups, Aptera faces one significant roadblock: funding. After raising a historic $135 million from over 17,000 investors through crowdfunding, the company is now seeking an additional $60 million through its partnership with US Capital Global.

🌊 The 119-meter Feadship 821, the world’s first hydrogen fuel-cell superyacht, has begun sea trials in the North Sea.

🌍 Launched in spring 2024 and set for delivery in 2025, this innovative vessel marks a significant step in Feadship’s journey toward “net zero” yachts by 2030.

🖊️ With a sleek design by RWD, Feadship 821 is the largest yacht ever built by the Dutch shipyard, boasting five decks above the waterline, 2 below with he most hull openings ofg any Feadship to date – 14 slide our balconies, 5 shell doors and 7 opening platforms! There is room for 30 guests, with the owners suite resembling an apartment.

🤫 It’s powered by pure green hydrogen fuel-cell technology, allowing for silent, emission-free operation for up to a week at anchor.

😮 Furthermore, the superyacht employs Feadship’s most efficient waste heat recovery system, which is capable of heating her pool, whirlpool bath and steam room, as well as the air temperature, towel bars and floors in the guest bathrooms.

🇺🇸 Navan, a brand under Brunswick Corporation, will formally debut in the North American market at the 2024 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

🇬🇧 Rooster, a manufacturer of technical clothing and parts for the marine industry, has announced a strategic consolidation of its European warehousing into the UK.

🇸🇪 Swedish high-performance electric boat maker X Shore has signed its largest order to date with M Yachts, a Germany-based yacht agency offering dealership, charter and advisory services.

🇦🇪 Sunseeker International, a UK-based motor yacht manufacturer, has opened a new Sunseeker Gulf showroom in Dubai.
