It is with the greatest sadness that we are announcing the closure of The Green Drum Co. with immediate effect. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have been with us on our journey over the last few years and to wish you all the very best for the future. We hope that our small presence in the drum building world has at least helped to raise awareness around sustainability for the industry, and that others will carry the torch into the future.

What do you think of our take on this centuries old finishing method?
Sho sugi ban is a traditional Japanese technique of preserving and protecting wood using only heat. No conventional 'finish' is applied to the wood, making this a truly sustainable method of finishing. We also think it looks pretty cool, too!
