Some pics from Friday nights Leon game - our own time took on long time rival Matt A-J. So the game in a few sentences. We were playing the PAYLOAD objectives (which neither of us had played before!), SUPPLY DROP conditions, giving us random swag periodically, and ROLLOUT deployment - both of us totally forgetting that we could deploy our armour at range 1 of the deployment zone - and seeing that we had the maximum of 4 heavy units including the GAV tank might have made a big difference! But who knows now! Matt unfortunately had some bad luck with his dice and his LAAT did little damage before crashing down after a pair of rebel speeder focus targeted it and then the tank feel shorty after to 3 FD cannons spooling up their barrage generators. Eventually Agent Kallus got into the fray and started to maul a cluster as rebel troops and then Matt hunkered down meaning he was able to sneak his payload forward out of the threat of fire. Matt deployed his payload much better so was in a much better position to keep threatening the objective, where as I given my self a harder path meaning I wouldn't start editing until turn four.we called it there as the rebels had a clear path to maximum victory points. Lessons learnt, a possible more aggressively deployed Imperial units would have made a massive difference and FD cannons quickly become not so good when there is nothing to shoot! So next time don't clump then together so much
