As a business sponsor and a player of the women's team, I am very excited about the season ahead, lots of things planned, preseason is already underway and my legs are very sore after last night's strength and conditioning session!

I am very excited to introduce you to Sarah who has joined me at Core Social! 👏

Since starting Core Social in 2022, it has grown from strength to strength. It is now time to grow it even further and bring someone on board who has the same energy and ambition as me to help take the business to the next level.💪

Sarah has over 20 years of marketing experience working in different industries and has managed various social media accounts such as Girl About Cheshire, a current hobby she is passionate about (check it out on Instagram!).

What I’ve been up to lately…

It’s been a busy few weeks for me working hard to put something into place (all will be revealed very soon! 👀) but I just thought I’d share a few photos of what I’ve been doing recently.

⚽ I played in the Warrington Town Women FC charity game at the weekend! Playing against the coaches with my current squad and then getting the chance to play with my old teammates, some of whom I’ve played with for 30 years - Nostalgia kicked in big time! We’ve raised over £1000 for Macmillan Cancer Support so far!

🤍 Visited one of my oldest football teammates on a walk. Miss you lots Charlotte.

👏 I became a member of the which is held in Warrington every month. If you’re a local freelancer or a small business owner looking to be a part of a wonderful community, check them out!

🏟 Watched lift the WSL trophy after beating Manchester United at Old Trafford. Although I’m a Boro fan, it was great to cheer on the Blues for my partner and step son, who are avid Chelsea supporters!

👥 Attended the Sue Richards KCC Networking and Business Events monthly event. I will always recommend this network group, it’s so different to every other group I’ve been to and Sue is amazing!

🤝Attended the Federation of Small Businesses - FSB bootcamp, listening to some great speakers making new connections and catching up with some fabulous friends.

Anyway, that’s my update, back to working on…that thing I’m working on!

Yesterday I attended the Federation of Small Businesses - FSB BootCamp at The Engine Rooms in Birchwood Park, Warrington.

There were some great speakers to learn from and it was also fabulous to catch up with a few people who I haven't seen for a while.

I became a member of the FSB a few months ago. I have been to a few of their networking events and have met some amazing people within the FSB so far.

They have so many resources offering support, so great for new businesses starting up!

Tonight I will be joining the rest of the Hope 100 Warrington team at the Halliwell Jones Stadium for the Warrington Wolves game against Hull KR.

We will be walking around the stadium offering a bucket collection for anyone who would like to donate to the Hope100 Warrington cause, in aid of World Su***de Prevention Day.

100% of the donations will go towards the event. It pays for items such as hi-vis vests, refreshments for the walkers, training for the 'walk and talk' volunteers, and more.

Any donation, no matter how big or small, would be very much appreciated.

This month I’ll be Trundl’ing... 🦔

And the next month come to think of it! This week I started the Sue Richards KCC Networking and Business Events ‘2km a day’ challenge to raise money for Hospice of the Good Shepherd. 🫶

Businesses donated £25 to take part or £50 to sponsor the event, so I had to sponsor it as well as take part..I’m an ‘all in’ kind of girl! 👏

Using the fabulous trundl app, we’ve had some fun sharing our walks (and runs!) and encouraging each other. There will also be netwalking events run by the lovely Elevate with Ellie.

The challenge will be held over May and June and is a great way to get everyone outside, enjoying the outdoors and staying active, whilst raising money for a great cause! 👟 We’ve already raised over £1,000 already!

From hating having my photo taken....📸 To having a blast being in front of the camera all day!

When I booked my brand shoot with the amazing Maira Sheikh, I have to admit, I was very nervous, being a camera-shy person. I'm rubbish at posing, I don't have a pout face...all I know is to smile as I do in real life!😁

Even before the shoot, I knew I was in safe hands. Maira talked through everything, from what look I was going for and how I wanted to come across in my photos, to what colours match my brand, ethos and personality.

We picked for the first venue and then headed over to for the second (once the rain had stopped!). We literally did not stop laughing all day! I was put at ease instantly and I couldn't be happier with the final photos. 💚

5 months to go until the Hope100 Warrington Walk.

10 miles around Warrington starting from 3am on Sunday 8th September to raise awareness for World Su***de Prevention Day (which is on the 10th).

Even if I wasn't working with the guys on this project, managing their social media, I would still be taking part. It was such an incredible event last year, a time to reflect, talk, connect, and share stories. Such an important topic to raise awareness for.

And I'm STILL smiling! 😁📸

Today I had my brand photoshoot with the amazingly talented Maira Azhar - And wow what a day of fun we had!

I went into the shoot quite nervous, not knowing what to expect, but Maira put my nerves at ease within seconds! Maira made the shoot easy, comfortable and fun, and we did not stop laughing!

We started at The Botanist in Warrington which was fabulous to shoot inside with a gorgeous natural aesthetic look! Then finished at one of my favourite places, Walton Hall and Gardens.

I was in desperate need of a brand shoot, and I have to say I am so pleased I booked one, in particular, with Maira. I fully recommend Maira to anyone who wants to grow their personal brand and be more visible online.

I cannot wait to see the photos!!

Well, they don't do they?🤷‍♀️

Of course, it's great to have lots of followers, who wouldn't want a substantial following? But do these numbers translate to tangible benefits?

🚨Social media followers may inflate your ego, but they don't pay the bills!

While a large following might look good on paper, what truly matters is the return on investment (ROI). Are your social media efforts translating into revenue?

It is also important to remember that the quality, loyalty and engagement your followers bring is more important than the quantity.

Having a smaller, highly engaged audience can be far more valuable than a large but disinterested following.

The ultimate goal for any business should be to convert followers into customers.

Focus on metrics that directly impact your bottom line. Track conversion rates, click-through rates, footfall traffic, etc. to get a clearer picture of your social media effectiveness.

Remember, the true value of social media lies in its ability to drive business results. Don't get caught up in the numbers game; instead, focus on building loyal audiences, generating real value for your followers and your business.

This is such an easy way to create new pieces of content and it could be more effective than you may think.

For example, if you sell a food product and you constantly get asked if you have any vegan options, then why not create a few posts about your food being vegan friendly? 🌱

It could be your chance to gain a whole new audience and potentially new paying customers who perhaps have never placed an order because they didn’t realise you had vegan choices.

Even if you think the answer to a question is obvious, put content out there about it. If someone has had to ask, then it clearly isn’t as obvious as you may have thought.

Content could be in static, carousel, or video form…stories are also a great way to answer FAQ’s - You could then create a new FAQ highlight!

Introducing the Cheshire Networking Circle...

Today I attended the first ever 'Cheshire Networking Circle' meeting at The Merlin, Alderley Edge.

Set up by two lovely ladies Guided Walking Tours and Tor Nutrition, 'Cheshire Networking Circle' puts a spin on traditional networking.

Attendees are split into smaller groups to talk about any challenges or problems they have within their business. The groups then engage in a meaningful conversation about this challenge, exchanging ideas and advice on how to possibly solve the problem and sharing their own experiences.

The Cheshire Networking Circle's aim is to help build a community of business owners who can help and support each other whilst sharing and using their knowledge and experience, growing their network at the same time.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, well done Julia and Vicky! It was great to meet lots of new people. Looking forward to the next meet on 29th February.

We invited the Warrington Guardian to go and try the delicious food my client Wiyo Drive-thru has to offer...and let's just say they were impressed! Well done guys!

PEOPLE queued for three hours and travelled from as far as Wales to try the first ever Chinese drive-thru when it opened in Warrington.

Today I travelled to Knutsford to plan an exciting upcoming event for one of my clients, which will take place at the gorgeous Victorian The Lost & Found Knutsford restaurant.

The event will be held in Lost & Found’s secret room…more to be revealed in the next couple of weeks!

Whilst in Knutsford, I also enjoyed probably the best scone I have ever eaten at the Church Hill Cafe inside St John’s Church Knutsford.

If you are in the Knutsford area, I really recommend you try their scones. They are huge, warm and don’t break apart when you eat them (don’t you hate it when that happens?!).

After starting work with Wiyo Drive-thru this week, it's great to see an article already published locally by the Warrington Guardian!

WIYO is England's first Chinese Drive-Through. It is such a fabulous concept and I am looking forward to pushing their social media to the next level to spread the word about WIYO locally.

And I can also confirm that their food is THE best Chinese food I have ever tasted - Genuinely!

This weekend was the 2023 Winter Show at the Collect Art Gallery.

It was a pleasure covering the event on social media and meeting so many new people. Best of all, I met some of the fabulous artists whose work I often promote at the gallery.

Lancashire-born artist Michael Ashcroft and sculptor Marjan Woulda were lovely.

Neon Lights At Collect Art...

This weekend was the launch event of Collect Art's latest exhibition in Lymm.

Doing the event marketing for my client was so much fun.

Creating the A-board posters, leaflets and promoting the event on social media...the evening was a huge success and we were overwhelmed with the number of people who turned up!

Thank you to everyone who came and for those who couldn't make it, the wonderful Neon artwork by Neon Tony will be displayed at the gallery until Friday.
