Just me being a geek in the garden with my hand marbled papers ☺️👋 hi everyone!
If you’re new here, thank you for following! It’s still mind boggling to have so many of you here, so THANK YOU! I’ve been busy working on some big projects recently, I can’t wait to actually share some of what I’ve been up to… 2 lovely new things will be launching at the end of this month 🫶 Then November will be full throttle prepping for Christmas… I’ve got some lovely events in the calendar over November and December, where I’ll be popping up as usual with my foil-blocking machine, embossing names/initials in gold foil onto my range of bookcloth and marbled notebooks! (I’ll announce my full line up of pop-ups v soon.) I can’t WAIT to take you along for the riiiiiide ❤️📚🪩🪄📘📓💜

I am passionate about all things made by hand, supporting makers and the importance of preserving traditional skills… and developing new ones!
There’s no better feeling than mastering a craft and making something you can hold in your hands that you feel proud of!
I also love to knit, sew, embroider… but wish I had more time to do those things 🤪
I daydream about learning upholstery, but perhaps that’s one craft too far… when there’s a queue of books to bind 🤣

Delighted these marbly mateys are now on sale in 📚🏛️ Such a lovely old museum if you haven’t been before, it’s wonderful! Bursting with ornate rococo furniture, porcelain and stunning paintings. Like stepping back in time. And a beautiful glass-roofed courtyard cafe serving afternoon tea 🤌

Hello! 👋 I thought it would be nice to do a little hello and intro to any recent new followers… Thank you so much for being here! ❤️ Here’s a little bit about me…
I’m Charlotte, I’ve been bookbinding for over 10 years. I’ve always loved making books, even as a kid I was stapling together homemade books. Although ironically I actually haven’t read a book for years 😂
I love sewing and knitting (usually tiny clothes for my 2 kids, but I did make my wedding dress from French lace 8 years ago!) - maybe I’ll pop some of these makes on my stories for fun!
I studied Graphic Design and Illustration, but wrote my dissertation about the history of knitting 😂
I love working on a wide range of bookbinding projects, from bespoke wedding albums and presentation/keepsake boxes, books bound in interesting fabrics, bespoke menus, binders and folders, to short-runs of special self-published books and artists books; keeping the variety wide so each project is exciting. It’s been a dream to be able to incorporate my new love of marbling into so many projects recently!
I had so much fun taking these snaps in the studio last week with ! Thank you for capturing me in my little workspace 🫶
