My fish don't eat from the surface. I give them a spoonful of sinking food and they eat it right away. But they try to eat the floating food, but somehow nervously and with long breaks. It's as if the fish are afraid of something. But I know that I need to give as much food as they can eat in 5-10 minutes. This has been going on since spring. That year they ate from the surface.
