From the district’s hidden gems to local news, stories and the people which make up Wakefield, a community-driven news channel is launching this summer.

Become a writer, blogger, vlogger or social media reporter at one of the free launch events for Wakefield News Channel where people can learn digital skills, joining the WNC team and create some of their own captivating content.

Sparkle (Community Media CIC), a Yorkshire-based social enterprise which publishes a range of media, is launching the channel with funding from Wakefield Council.
