Our previous chort (in amongst 30 other models!) all came together with love and support to uplift each other before heading out in front of a sold out audience for the@clobberswapltd LOVE fashion show, organised hy and our very own Co-Facilitator and hosted by our very own Co-Facilitator !

It just shows, our CCA course (funded by and with the support of ) may have ended but our COMMUNITY will last a lifetime 🥹.

Without being too braggy, this year has been pretty fantastic and I hope 2025 is the same, for us all! Some professional and personal goals I’ve achieved:

🎬 Became a Rotten Tomatoes Approved critic
🎬 Became a member of the Film Critics Association
🎬 Completed a copywriting course with the Charted Institute of Marketing (CIM)
🎬 Celebrated one year at Wordsmiths Unlimited - professional copywriting
🎬 Completed a Content Creator course with
🥂 Maid of Honor to my best friend and bridesmaid to another best friend
🥂 Travelled to six countries
🥂 Got a shiny new car that heats up fast and has an automatic handbrake (needed).

CONGRATULATIONS to (and introducing) two of our CONTENT CREATOR ACADEMY Graduates ✨!

Jenna of .co.uk has been SMASHING her business social media & seeing massive uplift in her reach and engagement thanks to her hard work and thanks to (that word that all our graduates will be thoroughly sick of) yep, CONSISTENCY, sticking to her plans and setting goals to supercharge her already thriving business into the corporate space.

Rachael has a whole wealth of knowledge and skills especially in the community space; Rachael’s goal was all about focus and direction as to where to focus her MANY talents… Her exciting next step is embarking on creating a website where she can showcase ALL these talents (literary, video and social) in one exciting space… And we cannot wait to see it!

We have now reached the end of our course and it is with sad faces, yet proud hearts, we wave our graduates as they embark on the continuation of their Content Creation journey! 🥹🥹🥹

We’ll be sharing more on our Graduates in the coming days as we couldn’t be prouder of each and every person! 🫶

Today our Course Facilitors Sophie Mei Lan Malin and Victoria Reddington delivered a session on PODCASTING 🎙️ in the penultimate session of our 12 Week Content Creators Academy course!

Here’s 3 quick takeaways from today if you’re thinking of creating your own podcast👇

⭐️ VALUE! Whether your aim is to inform, educate or entertain, make sure to give your listeners value & lots of it!

⭐️ CONSISTENCY. Frequency matters much less than having consistent release schedule that you are able to realistically sustain.

⭐️ REPURPOSE YOUR CONTENT. If you’re recording a podcast, why not film it too? You then have episode to put on YouTube. You can also edit this long form video down to 10-sec to 60-sec short, easily digestible (portrait format) videos for Insta Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts - these are a ready made promo device and will help your podcast gain traction much more quickly.

As always, today was such an informative and collaborative session!

Throughout this course, we have LOVED EVERY SINGLE MINUTE of seeing the amazing group of people who’ve taken part, work hard to transform their content 📲, hone their skills ✨, get intentional about their business growth 📈, and also come together as a group and form lasting friendships 💕.

Over the last few weeks we’ve seen SO much progress (and had so much fun!) doing 1-2-1s with each of our CONTENT CREATORS ACADEMY cohort!

In addition to group sessions, these one on one sessions - available to each member with any of our Group Leaders - allow a deep dive into each person’s personal goals and ambitions!

📣 Fear and excitement is the *exact* same feeling; the only difference is in how you interpret it 💪.

It’s important to set that push us further than our current limits; goals that make your heart race a bit faster - because they challenge you to grow.

During today’s CONTENT CREATORS ACADEMY session we were adjacent 🎃 and digging deep… What scares us and why? How can we face that fear and GROW… We are SO PROUD of our current cohort, doing the work and taking 👏 the 👏 action 👏.

If a goal is scary and seems intimidating, reframe that fear. It’s a good thing because it means you’re aiming HIGH and reaching for something extraordinary 🙌.

After all, nothing worth having comes without a bit of a challenge 😉🙌.

Today our Content Creators Academy have been working alongside the team at the prestigious National Coal Mining Museum for England ✨.

Our cohort met Sharon Healy (Learning Manager) and Devinia Skirrow (Head of Audiences, Media and Communications) and received a content brief which will provide an invaluable opportunity for our members to practice the skills they been gaining on our course, against a real life brief 👏👏👏 .

Our Academy members will be creating engaging content around the museums offer, highlighting key areas and sharing personal insights to be used on the Museum’s digital platforms.

Our day finished with our Academy member Jenna Fan (of .co.uk) delivering a ‘Creative With Music’ Wellbeing session for the Academy, NCMME volunteers and staff - ending our day on a high note (literally!) 🎵🎤

A big THANK YOU to Sharon, Devinia and the Museum for working with us to bring this partnership to life 🙌.

✨ Content Creator Academy X 🌈

As part of this week’s course, we went into the community to start our collaboration with the amazing !

Our cohort of Creators are learning skills and gaining the connections to help them SUPERSIZE in their chosen area of creation: we have journalists, Influencers, podcasters, ghost writers, community champions and more in our first cohort and in this first meeting with the Wakefield Pride team (📍held in their shop in ) it is fair to say as well as gaining important info… We got INVOLVED!!!

We mean - in a shop of wonders like this - how could we not?!!!

After all, who says being a Content Creator can’t be FUN?! 🫶

Introducing an exciting new series! 💫 Our Co-Director here at Content Up North CIC is Sophie Mei Lan Malin and she is the GURU ✨ for all things media and writing related ✍️. If you need to know how to tell a story, Sophie is the one to ask…

This is the first in an exciting weekly series where Sophie will take us through some common questions to do with the media.

From presenting on TV up north to reporting for the news internationally and becoming a mum, blogger, youtuber, and personal trainer, Sophie Mei Lan has won awards for her candid videos and blogs on Family life, travel, health, parenting, Yorkshire and wellbeing. She runs the Mama Mei blog, youtube channel and social media sites through which she has reached over two billion people with one video alone. Sophie is also known as Mrs Yorkshire.

When she is not creating content, she works for Yorkshire Post as a journalist as well as column writing for national press.

A MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS to one of our Content Creator Academy members for being one of the INSPIRATIONAL LEEDS WOMEN featured in a new sculpture in Leeds! 🎉👏🙌

Becky (and her twin sister, Shelley Joyce) have devoted their lives to helping homeless and marginalised people around Leeds. Starting by helping rough sleepers by going on food runs, the charity now provides support to hundreds of families across city with their award-winning charity, Homeless Street Angels 👏👏👏.

The sculpture is located at and celebrates the hundreds of Leeds women that have made a difference in the city.
