Great session with .otti.otti for his solo project. A collection of sweet, tender songs on just voice and acoustic guitar. Fantastic microphone setup - Flea47 for vocals/general guitar, the classic workhorse Neumann U47 for some guitar detail with a stereo pair of KM184 in NOS spacing for a bit of sound stage and stereo spread. API & Neve pres, Chandler compression. Lovely cooking!

Mixing, mixing lots of mixing! Picked up this cube recently and loving it. Using it at least 60% of the time - 1 # getting balance, finding that space for vocals, kicks and bass is so great. I’m finding working in mono putting the foundation of a mix together, before moving on to my mains really works for me.

Nice to be back at finishing a single for . Added some drums courtesy of Even dusted off my bass to add some low end freq! Then finished off the mix using a nice bunch of outboard! Love those EARS EQs. 🪐

Great drum session with David Keeler at Squarehead studio! Loving the AML mic pres (think Neve) and a nice choice of outboard compression.

Very happy to say I am now able to also offer sessions at this great studio in Kent - 50mins direct train from London Victoria.

Throughly enjoyed recording the EP over a handful of days at making heavy use of the API console. Mixed at my studio in Kent.

Sonically it’s a noise laden slab of rock, featuring ring modulated vocals, motorik grooves with channeled industrial disco energies.
