There's always tonnes to do in R&D (Research and Development) - an old scene with a better understanding of Hair grooms and secondary motion applied to the fur guides.
Blender is very cool for most things, but Houdini is just next level, well about 100 next levels!
f**k AI - we can control every attribute and not a hair out of place!
I find it very hard to tell people what I do, so here's a simple and quick overview of the work I carry out:

The power of procedural modelling / hair grooming🦄.
All thanks to Houdini and the range of control it gives. Loving it😀
100% geometry and volumetric clouds, 3 lot's of variations in the background foliage (Trees 🌳, grass 🌱 and plants 🪴), 4 different times of day 🌤, and always achieving a consistent look and feel.
Been ages since I last posted, I hope my followers are well. Anyways, cut to the chase, did you know that I now carry out UAV work?
Wishing all my friends / followers a very Merry Christmas, and wishing you a prosperous New Year.
Project ERA - using Unreal Engine to iterate - if you get to the end and scan the QR code with your phone to have the object cast in your environment.
This was a Covid project to learn Unreal Engine alongside Houdini.
Product Shot realisation
A video showing progression of a product shot. I think this is going to be my favoured BTS (Behind The Scenes) to show some of the work I carry out.
Can Bantam's Dance?
I decided to take things a little further and do my first ever production with Blender. No problems at all, Blender was a joy to use considering how complex the nature of fur is in the 3D world!
Rendering well over 2000 frames took no time at all, it didn't even impact my day to day job as EEVEE burnt through the frames :)
Blender Fur test
Just a bit of fun, I was looking at Blender recently as another tool to add to my arsenal, this was created in a very quick time along with CyclesX renders. It was also a fun little project to do :)
As I do a little music but on a personal level, I am looking for ways to render very speedily and Blender / EEVEE might just do the trick for lengthy motion pieces. Watch this space I guess.
Happy New Year BTW, I hope '22 is a massive improvement over recent years!!! :)
