My trusty slow roast honey ham is another Christmas favourite: https://urls.grow.me/Le3vZ7Ad6

It's easy to make and totally delicious. The ham slow cooks in pineapple juice for 4 hours in the oven (can be done in advance/the night before if needed), before a final roast for 30 minutes smothered in a treacle honey marinade.

The result – a perfect slow-cooked ham that falls apart into delicious melt-in-the-mouth chunks. Enjoy! Laura xx

For your Christmas dinner stuffing this year, I highly recommend this Pork, Sage, Onion & Cramberry Stuffing Log: https://www.mygfguide.com/pork-sage-onion-cranberry-stuffing-log/

I've made it for the few years and assemble it on Christmas eve (or the 23rd) and then wrap in cling film and store in the fridge until I am ready to get cooking.

It's of course, but my whole family always enjoy it. And any leftovers are amazing cut into slices and added to boxing day sandwiches. Enjoy! Laura x

Soft Amaretti are a gorgeous and easy bake to make, wonderful as a homemade Christmas gift or to take to parties: https://www.mygfguide.com/soft-amaretti-biscuits/

They are naturally and and last for a good week (in my experience) without drying out, when stored in an airtight container.

I also have a pistachio variety (which you can see in the final photo, they are slightly green inside), which is delicious too: https://www.mygfguide.com/soft-pistachio-amaretti/ - make a batch of each, cool and divide into little gift bags tied with ribbon for a lovely gift! Enjoy, Laura x

Fluffy Gluten Free Pancakes: https://www.mygfguide.com/fluffy-gluten-free-pancakes/ a lovely way to start the day any time of the year, but these would make a tasty festive breakfast too. Or a delicious dessert.

You can easily make the batter in advance and store in the fridge, to save you any Christmas morning mixing. Then add your choice of sweet or savoury toppings :).

Or you could even make these adorable mini pancake kebabs with fruit and chocolate hazelnut spread! Laura x

Every year on Christmas eve my daughter and I make and decorate a gingerbread house. It's a lovely thing to do and this recipe is a reliable one I make time and time again: https://www.mygfguide.com/gluten-free-gingerbread-house/

I didn't realise quite how many reviews the recipe had until I looked at it on my website just now, but it's really nice to know other people enjoy making this gluten free gingerbread house too.

Have you made one before? I'd love to see your pics if so! Laura x

Loads of Yorkshire puddings, as a side for a festive celebration yesterday: https://www.mygfguide.com/gluten-free-yorkshire-puddings/

I made the batter in advance and stashed in the fridge until needed, they were a big hit with everyone! Have you tried these? The recipe is in my cookbook as well, in the "Sensational Sides" chapter (alongside naan, spring rolls, croquettes and more). Laura x

These Gluten Free Brandy Snaps are wonderful during the festive season, dipped in chocolate and filled with whipped cream:
https://www.mygfguide.com/gluten-free-brandy-snaps-recipe/

I want to try a mascarpone filled variety this year, sort of cheesecake filling style, inspired by Italian cannoli. Maybe with the ends dipped in crushed pistachios. What do you think?

I shall report back when I give that idea a go! Laura x

Morning everyone! We were away in Wales with family this weekend and it ended up feeling quite festive. The flooding meant we couldn't go out in the car at all on Sunday, so it was a rainy hill walk followed by a big roast dinner and films for us. It felt a lot like a typical Christmas day!

I've come back to Bristol now and got straight into baking mince pies, so I thought I would share my recipe. With lovely flaky, buttery shortcrust pastry and homemade mincemeat.

https://www.mygfguide.com/gluten-free-mince-pies/

I had a lovely lady tell me this week that she has already prepped many batches of these for her freezer, which she then bakes as and when needed over the festive season. Which seems like a fab idea! Add 5-10 minutes onto the bake time if you want to try this.

You can use shop bought mincemeat, or make your own at home ~(actually very easy and I enjoy it more as I can tailor it to my taste preferences...I don't like raisins, so tend to go heavier with cranberries and dried apricots). If you'd like the recipe for that let me know! Laura x

For a wonderful, warming winter dessert, try this Pear & Toffee Sponge Pudding: https://www.mygfguide.com/gluten-free-pear-toffee-sponge-pudding/

Whole pears are baked in a soft almond sponge finished with homemade sticky toffee sauce. It's absolutely yummy, served with custard, ice cream or cream.

Give it a go! Laura x

Only two ingredients needed for the base, no yeast, just a simple flatbread type dough that bakes up beautifully. Enjoy! Laura x

Gluten Free Tiramisu: https://www.mygfguide.com/gluten-free-tiramisu/

This dessert is actually very easy to make, despite it being an impressive dessert to eat. Layers of coffee-soaked sponge ladyfingers (booze-spiked if you wish) and vanilla mascarpone cream, it really is quite heavenly.

You'll also find this recipe in my cookbook Eat & Enjoy Gluten Free: https://geni.us/EatandEnjoyGF

I've just baked a batch of these Chewy-Crunchy Cornflake Flapjacks with my kids, as a little Sunday afternoon treat:
https://www.mygfguide.com/crunchy-chewy-cornflake-flapjacks/

They're a lovely, easy bake using oats and cornflakes, inspired by the ones my uncle used to make in his bakery. Adding cornflakes gives a wonderful crunchy texture in amdist the chewy oats.

Have them plain or dipped in chocolate, both ways are delicious! Laura x

Good evening all! I thought I'd share a bit of an alternative yule log with you today, my Lemon Meringue Yule Log:
https://www.mygfguide.com/gluten-free-lemon-meringue-yule-log/

It's a sensational festive showstopper and tastes incredible, with a tart lemon curd and mascarpone filling, bouncy sponge and sweet Italian meringue coating.

I had some wonderful feedback from those who tried this dessert last year, I hope you enjoy it too! Laura x

One of my favourites, if you have caputo flour at home you must try this Fluffy Gluten Free White Loaf: https://www.mygfguide.com/fluffy-gluten-free-white-loaf-df-v-6-ingredient-recipe/

You only need 6 ingredients and it's dairy free and egg free too. Very soft and fluffy, it's lovely for sandwiches, as well as dipping in soups and stews.

It also freezes well - I generally make two loaves at a time, freeze one and eat the other fresh. Enjoy! Laura x

Is it too early for festive desserts? Or am I okay to share my Salted Caramel Yule Log recipe with you all: https://www.mygfguide.com/salted-caramel-gluten-free-yule-log/

I absolutely adore this dessert, as it's less sickly that traditional all-chocolate yule logs. That central swirl of mascarpone cream balances it all beautifully and the homemade salted caramel sauce, chocolate sponge and chocolate ganache "bark" all taste divine!

I've made this for the last four Christmases and it's always been a hit. I'll definitely be making it again this year :). I hope you love it too if you get round to trying it! Laura x
