Very proud of my friend Mark McDonald for getting his labour of love Megablast - The Top 100 UK Rap Records into print. It's an epic tome, beautifully written and designed to shine a light on a forgotten part of Britain's youth culture and rich musical tapestry. This was our music, it united black, white and Asian kids in playgrounds and youth clubs across the country from cities to suburbia. This is a wonderful tour through an enthusiast's record collection. Mark has skin in the Hip Hop games to having been a founding member of ERZ crew. Thanks for inviting me on the journey as editor and contributor, it has been a dream project.

PS The book photo's is my well- thumbed prototype. Copies for readers are due in September.

We saw a stunning gig by Daudi Matsiko last night at the Hyde away in Frome. What a gig, what a guy. A real gent, who mingled with his audience. He sang the full LP King of Misery and it was just like having the record on. Fantastic night out. The venue was superb too, max.capacity 30 people. Superb and friendly little cocktail bar.

Catch Daudi Matsiko if u can. Guy is a legend. He even gave us a signed set-list. Unforgettable!!

MY new novel IN THE VAST HALLS OF NIGHT is shaping up nicely. WOYZECK by Bruckner and the VOICE REFERENDUM are just a few components that make up the backdrop of my story. This one is set in 2023, so it's my first attempt at a story in today's world.

I am hoping to get a first draft done by the end of November. F**k everything else. Lol. X
