Heartwarming gesture...
Today is World Mental Health Day! It’s a good time to reflect on what you can do to help protect your mental health and that of those around you.
The Covid-19 outbreak is doing its utmost to keep friends and family apart but reminding people that you are thinking about them can go a long way.
A few weeks ago we shared the story of how Mike Harris went above and beyond to visit his friend Tessa Landers at The Chiswick Nursing CentreCentre and you all liked it so much we have tracked down the video footage for you.
Mike Harris, has been a friend and long-time visitor to Tessa. She was too poorly to leave her bed and Mike has been unable to visit her because of the restrictions in place due to the virus. Undaunted, and determined to let Tessa know he is still there for her, he arranged to use a cherry picker to visit her.
The result was that, observing all the distancing rules to protect residents and staff, the cherry picker was used to raise Mike all the way to Tessa’s third floor window to deliver chocolates and flowers.
What’s the kindest thing someone has ever done for you?
