We had the AGM tonight and the entire meeting was taken up by it. Therefore, any potential new members didn't miss anything, and are welcome to come to the next meeting, where we'll hopefully have a few new scripts to read. -B.

Just a reminder that we will be having our 2024 AGM tonight (Monday) from 7-9pm on Zoom (Message me for the link). There will be a bit of a committee reshuffle, so if you are passionate about film-making and would like to volunteer some of your time and resources for the good of the group, please do consider attending and possibly standing for some of the positions that will be opening up. You don't need to be a West Lothian resident.

Hopefully the AGM will only take up the first hour and we can spend the remaining time on usual business, including but not limited to:
Recent films watched, recommended (or not)
Script read-throughs
Any film-making projects in the pipeline
Any local film festivals/ 48 hours on the go.

Just a reminder that the next meeting will take place tonight at 7pm on Zoom. Message me if you would like the link. Everyone welcome!

Anyone with any interest, history or affiliation with West Lothian Film is also invited to come along to the 2024 AGM which will be held at 7pm on Zoom on Monday 12th February. Sadly due to work and study commitments I'll be stepping down as Chair, so the position will be open to anyone interested. Actually everyone will be stepping down and then re-voted in. So if you have a bit of time available and would like to be more involved in the group, please do come along and stand for the committee. If a Chair is not voted in then a 'Floating Chair' system will operate to keep things going for the foreseeable future.

Also, there's been suggestions of reducing the frequency of the meetings to allow for more writing and less clashes to take place, perhaps every three weeks.

So please do come along and make your voice heard for in :)

A new crime thriller Out 2 Kill filmed around Edinburgh will premiere in August at the Edinburgh Odeon, Lothian Road. We need your help! 🎬🎥🍿

We are looking for two people to star in our upcoming promo advert for our Fire & Ice Experience! This advert will be a cinematic overview of what to expect from our centre, showcasing our gorgeous new facilities and experience. Our advert will be for potential use on socials and Sky TV.

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, and comfortable being filmed and showcased in swimwear within our advert (this is the common attire for our experience). The candidates will be in our Infrared Sauna and -0° Ice Bath, so must be comfortable with this! 🥵🥶

We will be filming 1st July 8.30am until 1pm in our Bathgate Centre.📍

Seeking driver/extra for movie shoot. The Priesthood is a dystopian science fiction series being shot by Glass Bullet Pictures. We require a driver with vehicle for the weekend of Friday - Sunday 23,24,25 June. Tasks would involve picking up cast and crew in Glenrothes and Markinch and returning to/from Gateside Mill.
